There is no way I can reach 100 points playing 3 to 4 hours a day with this point system. I am an average player since D1, but lately the strategies are just repulsive… Bungie… keep it, yes rewarding but simple please. Today I played for more than two hours The salt Mines and made it as Hard as I could to gain points… and when I looked at point meter it barely moved since yesterday… so F’k it… I am ignoring this season and do something else and if this system continues I think may be this game is not for me anymore! Sad!

Bungie logic : if player cant reach the goal they will keep playing thinking they might reach it ! Normal player : i cant reach the goal ? the game cant be won ? F that... Active player number reach all time low ... Bungie : Surpised pikachu face

2 RepliesIt's not like a "fill the bucket" points system. If you keep on doing the same event at the same score, you won't get more points. You have to go up a percentile.. Either that or it's f**king broken! 😆

3 RepliesIt’s not the time spent it is your highest score. I think you have a build issue my friend, yes activities are challenging to get in top 10%, but it’s doable if you have some experience with the activities and build crafting. Running void hunter with lucky pants and choir in PvE is not optimal. The top 1% though it’s gonna take a more time though as you try to optimize each run.

I’m feeling the same way about the score system it really does suck no way of progressing without spending hours and been a pro 🥴

1 ReplyThey tuned scoring so its more forgiving, you'll want to farm up to 400 though to go for top 10%.
- Tuned scoring so that the lower Power you are, the more of a boost you will get to your Call to Arms score to offset the score impact of Power. -- We expect this to mitigate most but not all of the advantage that Power currently conveys. This should broaden the competition by elevating players who can quickly complete activities with difficult modifiers while still giving high Power players an edge. -- For example, with the right activity modifiers, a 300 Power player playing on Master difficulty could earn what is comparable to a Top 30% score today and a 400 Power player playing on Grandmaster difficulty could earn what is comparable to a Top 10% score today.
https://x.com/Destiny2Team/status/1989482400221450354
