Personally I think the hammer charge system is complete crap. It takes 10 minutes to complete a battleground cause of the amount of afk players, horrible spawns, drop pods and massive HP tanks of champions and the final bosses. For one charge to get a measly tier 1 engram, we have to spend 10 minutes. Even with the chance to get 2x charges (of which I have run over 20 and gotten 0), you spend approx 25-50 minutes just to get one tier 3 umbral engram. Is this good? I'll let you vote on that. I personally feel like the battlegrounds system is just a watered down Menagerie (ironic, Empress) with subpar rewards for the amount of time you play. Menagerie had a wonderful system and barring the arsehats that afk'd in rumble for runes, it was a very good system that let you choose your preferred loot drop and masterwork. So feel free to discuss what you think, but my overall opinion is that it's a terrible implementation of a system that could have beaten menagerie.
