Do I need to kill the Taken in order for the Warsat to drop, or it doesn't matter either way. And I'm just unlucky

Past 3 days I've gotten only 4 kill the Targets, in multiple areas. And Taken only over and over

Hey Rachet, It doesn't matter, you don't need to kill the Taken, and them spawning in does not count as a public event. Hang around until an event spawns, if it's not a Warsat, go to the next area.

Just unlucky. Ive seen one spawn in even when the other is going on.
