What does your Faction mean to you?
Hello and welcome Guardians! for those who still recognize my name it's been a while, for everyone else, HELLO! i'm AnonPig, i do the lore things.
But today I'm here to ask you that very simple question, there are three Factions in Destiny and they all have their own philosophical stance on how to do things in the Destiny Universe, i align with Dead Orbit myself because i feel it's the most logical answer. Holding on to our planets and our lost Golden Age is a mistake, we can find a better life out there among a different star.

5 RepliesIt's a button click, a tool to use for weapons and gear. When Bungie invests more into the Factions than we do or add repurcussions for our choices, it won't mean much. See: WOW Hoarde vs Alliance for example...

The consensus is full of factions with evil desires, with future war cult always fighting, dead orbit trying to leave the god that gave us life, and new monarchy wanting all power. The Concordat is the only good hearted faction.

8 RepliesNew Monarchy aligns with me. How could we expand to other stars when the fight here at home is not concluded? Why focus on building weapons when we could focus on bringing people together under a new world order? An order of peace and prosperity for humans?

2 RepliesI stick to the Future War Cult because I think the Darkness needs to be eradicated. However, I don't support setting up a monarchy like New Monarchy. I also see Dead Orbit as kind of treasonous. I mean, if we leave Earth, we leave the very Traveler that created us guardians, and chose us to protect itself and use to fight the Darkness.

My faction means guns. I pick the one with the gear I want. Thus far, the faction stories, while interesting, have had no effect on game play. Until they have some effect more than what gear you get, what do the politics matter?

While I respect both the other factions I hold dispute with their ideals. New monarchy has many wonderful and honorable ideas but promoting a single person to king and giving them unlimited power as well as being unable to remove them from their station is just a bad idea. And one that i can not support. Dead Orbit is correct in some ways as well in stating that running might be the best option. As much as we push against the darkness more enemies show up every day. We could lose. But I cant accept that. FWC claimes in the end there will be a final war against Time itself. I wont stop fighting until we win or my body finally gives out and I recieve my final death protecting my friends and the citizens of the Last City.
