Do you have to complete the ARG to do this or was that just to solve the puzzle of how to do it?

Now that it's been solved everyone doesn't need to worry about it. The image that came from solving it is the only thing needed to start the puzzle.

That was just to solve the puzzle, I had no idea what the arg meant but still did it. (eventually)
