You gotta love how people used to cry for private matches
Now I guess the "majority of players" couldn't give 2 shits about them. Well majority, go fu[b]ck[/b] yourself. We wanted private matches since the beginning and bungie listened to us. Bungie always listens to us, but you're a bunch of sheep. We wanted a gjallarhorn sparrow, we got it. We wanted an exotic strangers rifle; we got it. We wanted a horde mode; we got it ( PoE ). We wanted an exotic kvostov; we got it. We wanted weapon skins; we got it. I can't comprehend how much this community complains. Get the stick out of your ass people. Bungie still loves us.
Everyone has been commenting "But OP what about important things like servers?" And the answer to that is easy. The game is from 2014 guys, it's pretty -blam!-ing old ( game wise ). The servers aren't gonna be the best, and Bungie can't update them without using a whole new net code. Just wait until destiny 2 and Bungie will more than likely implement dedicated servers; just to keep with the times. The next thing being that "SBMM is horrible, why don't they fix that?" And I too agree with this. However, players should still have the option to do skill based matchmaking. Thanks for the support and for the critiquing.

1 ReplyIts fact it should have been available in day 1. Personally i dont use the feature much ...and sure most dont. Just the point it was such bare bones released content.

What's gonna be the excuse once dedicated servers are implemented (*if)? I PvP on dedicated servers in the MMO I play on and lag can still be a thing. Tears gonna fall.

I play it for a month, play another game for awhile, start playing Destiny and grind pvp and strikes for hours having loads of fun! The last game that got me this addicted is tf2 but I'm not complaining! Destiny is a great game since day one because it keeps pulling you back to the grind.

3 RepliesThere are far more pressing concerns than private matches though. We need better servers, for one. Not to mention Bungie needs a long term sustained plan for new content. Just one actual expansion in the last year? That's pathetic content wise.

19 RepliesAgree with all. But these was asked in year one. This is going into year 3 when they finely deliver. At this point large portions of the community have already left. Some might say your the sheep for being blindly lead by the new content and thinking all is great. Just saying :)

Thank you. Seriously, thank you. I'm so bloody sick of this 'Bungie doesn't listen to us' narrative despite the fact that they very much do listen to us, it just takes time for those things to be added. Which makes perfect sense, as game development isn't as easy as typing up a post complaining about how Bungie never listens. Bungie 100% does listen. And as a side note, I just want to point out that sometimes there are things being asked for that we won't get, because they don't want to for whatever reason - and in that case any whiners need to realize that no means no.

People wanted halo style custom games not just get a normal game with friends. Sure its a start but not having the custom games be even close to as in depth as halo (a game like 10+ years old) is actually astonishing. Lets hope destiny 2 has this, a map editor, and a theater so it at least gets up to par with bungies previous works. But I havnt heard anybody complain about it yet. And I only have like 4 friends who play destiny so custom games are irrelevant to me.

I love the fact that almost everything we have asked for has been implemented by bungie. Destiny is the only game I can play that keeps me coming back and I don't die of boredom. It's been a great 1st disc. I can't wait to see the surprises in D2

It has no meaning in computer science.
