We are actively investigating player reports regarding recent TAPIR Errors received by players on all platforms. We have identified the cause of this issue and are working diligently to reach a resolution.
This thread will be updated with new information as it becomes available. If you have encountered this issue, please Comment in this thread with your PSN ID/ Xbox Gamertag, as well as exactly which console you have received this error on.

6 RepliesBungie is destroying friendships. About 9 or 10 months ago I moved into a new city. Me only having a 360 I was unable to play destiny with my good friend who is on 1 and I wouldn't see him again for a very long time. On Friday I finally got an xbox 1. I messaged him on Instagram and friended him on the Xbox and told him another hour of downloading and we could play together. But when I try to login guess what? Tapir error. I think no biggie we will play tomorrow when bungie sorts this out. The next day I get the same error. I've got time though my school starts on Thursday, after school starts I won't be able to play very often I'm in a lot of AP classes and won't have time for Xbox on a regular basis. But sure enough it's Wednesday, school starts tomorrow. And I still havnt been able to play with a person I havnt seen for almost a year. Thanks a lot bungie. Destiny is a great game. I hate to see it ruined by terrible customer service and a lack of communication between the community that plays it and the company that makes it.

Hey this is sixguntank on the playstation network. Just bought new ps4 and taken king again. Still getting tapir trying 2 login after transfer. This really stinks after i spent 522 dollars to play over the labor day weekend. I sure would like 2 play desiny on my new ps4

Destiny is the only Xbone game we purchased with the console and cannot be played. I am starting to get annoyed now as these days having online access aren't free - this is wasting my money each day nothing happens. We purchased a new console, and Destiny a second time - $400+ specifically to play this game over the weekend.
