3 RepliesGonna try my best to explain. (Prepare to see the word apparently a lot cause I didn't know many of these) I know the A is for asexual. I is for intersex, which is basically when a doctor can't determine your gender because you have mixed up chromosomes and genes. Apparently Q is for questioning, back in my day we called it curious but whatever. The second Q apparently means queer, which is used as an umbrella term for them apparently. (One word that means many, Ex: lesbian, gay etc.) The second A is for Allies, people who stand with the LGBT+, which is understandable. The P is for pansexual which, to my disappointment does not mean you are attracted pans, it means they can be attracted to anyone even if they aren't gender binary. (Ex: male, female and so on.) As for the other 20 something terms, I don't know. Don't bite my head off please.

Honestly, 'non-heterosexual' is a far better term than LGBTQIA.... The amount of people who want to be categorised differently makes an acronym pointless because acronyms are supposed to be short, and this one is just getting longer and longer. If you want to encompass everyone who isn't heterosexual, just say 'non-heterosexual'.
