Edit: Got some troubleshooting tips for you red bar warriors. Alright so ask your mom for like 15 bucks, buy a really long (and I mean really long) ethernet cord. Next, knock on your neighbors door and tell them you need to inspect their router while hiding the cord behind your back. Plug that bad boy in and make sure you have a Pabst blue ribbon in hand to make sure it all goes smoothly. Congratulations,you've upgraded to a yellow bar ;))))))

Its the only internet offered in my area. I don't do it to get an advantage, I don't even go positive like 70% of the time. I mainly play crucible since my friend that plays destiny pretty much exclusively plays crucible. My connection is so slow I can't even play it while I'm alone.

Unfortunately, due to the internet market being an oligopoly and being two steps away from a monopoly, many red bars do not have a choice and cannot do anything about it. For example, I have the best internet available in my area and I still have red bars about half the time I play PvP.

2 RepliesIt's the fake greens you need to be worried about! At least with red bars you can prepare yourself against them. Had a game last night were every one was green bar. A few times we team shot a member from the other team they took no damage and killed us with one shot/melee! Friend hit him with 2 melees after I shot them and he killed us both with a melee! Takes damage from super to! BTW red bar doesn't always give you advantage. I can start a match and do pretty well then suddenly become red bar and can do nothing!

My first match yesterday I discovered I was a redbar. As soon as the match ended I reset my modem and router and shit ran much smoother. Green the rest of the evening. Seriously, take the minute it takes to restart your gear. Sometimes that makes all the difference.

It's irritating but I'm not convinced it's the users fault in all cases. I have very good internet and I'll see my bar changing throughout the game. Also just the shear number of laggers compared to what it used to be makes me think it's something on Bungies end.

lol I just report them for "bad connection" not much else you can do. If they suck and have red bars, I just feel sorry for them.
