I know what the update is. Legitimately.
It goes as such:
Prison of Elders is reworked and light leveled-up to the new light cap. Starting at the lowest light arena, you get "taken" VoG gear. Then "taken" crota gear, so forth and so on. And at the highest level, "taken" versions of any of the raid gear drops at the highest light, randomly. This includes weapons.
Have a good day with this knowledge in mind.

FINAL EDIT: What Urk said does not invalidate this. I said it means that gear drops in updated PoE, which isn't the old raids.
FINAL FINAL EDIT: Looking deeper, Urk claims old gear won't return. But wasn't Darkhollow and "Harrowed" Darkhollow gear listed as completely separate? Do keep that in mind.
LAST MINUTE UPDATE: The new strike, Blighted Chalice, will be in the Hellmouth and involves Fallen who have mistakenly freed Malok, whom we all know from the Hunter legendary helmet listed in the armory.

My guess, if it is a reworked POE, is that you will face the queen and her brother, only they will be taken. Problem is, if its just a reworked POE, I don't think it will be much of a big deal, and really not worth the wait.

25 RepliesMoron, they shout about anything upcoming n they'd have 3 guardians in different gear, 1 from vog, 1 from crota, 1 from poe if it was coming. All 3 guardians are wearing poe gear. It's upgraded poe, prob with no changes, just taken armour. N the new strike is taken phogorth but he's called Malok. They might possibly upgrade legacy playlist but I doubt it, n no way on gods earth they're upgrading old raids, he'll even kings fall will be irrelevant in 3 weeks

They would never have Raid gear drop in PoE. That's like having fallen weaponry drop from Oryx.

Whether or not this is true (honestly I'd kinda find it a fun waste of time), it is plausible lore wise. Variks still has PoE and he still put's things in there. There are a number of ideas I can come up with to explain how he would keep taken there, maybe, simply, they can no longer switch dimensions without oryx. The gear is often off of someone's body lore wise, but either way, if whatever had it was taken, so would it, cabal and the fallen wear armor that appears taken. Looking forward to the update, hope it's as good as the OP says.

Honestly, this is fine with me. There honestly ins't much they can do with the story in the amount of time since TTK came out. A lot of us weren't expecting more, we just want something and we demand honesty not filthy lies from Bungie.

Well if this is true this is shit. Not close to what most wanted. I just want to be able to go to orbit get a team together and say what we doing vog crota or kf at let's say new hard mode 400(just a rondom number) then do the whole raid at whatever new light level is. None of this PoE crap. I for one won't be playing again if this turns out to be true
