Ice Breaker exploit in Trials is for SCRUBS.
DON'T FRONT, NO ONE WAS USING IT IN TRIALS A WEEK AGO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S A VIABLE OPTION? NO, IT'S BECAUSE THEY TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS SPECIAL AMMO.
If you're doing this you're pathetic.
It happened in my first game of Trials this weekend. All 3 had Icebreakers then switched to their 1000 yards later. The game's been changed for a reason, play it the way it's meant to be played now.
Go ahead and disagree. I won't care. You ladyboys always gotta find an exploit to get cheap kills instead of playing the game right. If you NEED sniper ammo that bad to get a kill then there's more wrong with you than just being a coward in a fake fight.

1 ReplyWell said buddy, the year 1 weapons were left behind for a reason. Don't worry tho, once the new light levels come in and trials 290 light recommendation goes way up, year 1 weapons will be useless. But the scrubs will find a way around it. "They always do"

I do admit it is quite a serious exploit but the gun is trash as far as snipers go. All you need is to switch to MIDA and they won't be able to snipe you (unless they are god tier so they can't be called scrubs).

2 RepliesLiterally every match was ice breakers. And don't even tell me to get out of snipe lanes. If you hold a zone covering snipe lanes than the only lanes ARE snipe lanes. Xbox one had so many try hards yesterday. It was pathetic. I'm no PvP God so this was extremely frustrating. I had a match where I was 17 and 5 AFTER picking up special, but until then it was completely one sided. If you go for special they snipe it. If you rush together, the other two people use last word. It was this and this and this and more of this. More than being frustrating, it was boring. But I guess it's not boring if you win everything. I wouldn't know though, I'm not good and I will NEVER USE MINDLESS EXPLOITS. You don't have to agree it's an exploit. I don't care what you call it. But its just like steroids...sure you're bigger and stronger and have an advantage, but you're really just pathetic and scared of someone having natural talent over yours. The end.

2 RepliesI completely agree. If you rely on your special weapon so much that you can't even play one round with just your primary, then you may want to think about rounding out your skill set because clearly you're only good with one weapon

I do it and then switch to my Thesan FR4, Fusion Rifles are where it's at. Honestly though it's a tactic same as anything else in this game, I complained when people did it in Crimson Doubles but the fact of the matter is that if you don't do the same thing you're only handicapping yourself. It's a video game! Have fun why don't ya!

4 RepliesUm, not an exploit. Its a feature, not a bug. I've never used it in Crucible, but I'll be very pissed if they remove it from PVE (I'm not much of a sniper anyway). This wouldn't be a problem if nerf/buffs only affected the side of the game that was being ruined by the item needing the nerf/buff. Time to separate PVP/PVE now! The Special Ammo Nerf wasn't enough. It should have been closer to the way Heavy Ammo behaves.

I was playing trials last night, there was a lot of people using IB but it's easy enough to stay out of sniper lanes so don't see it as an issue.

3 RepliesI could have sworn that in the past, back in the first special ammo box reduction, that Bungie made swapping from ice breaker to other weapons reset ammo stock So why does it work now?
