Ice Breaker exploit in Trials is for SCRUBS.
DON'T FRONT, NO ONE WAS USING IT IN TRIALS A WEEK AGO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S A VIABLE OPTION? NO, IT'S BECAUSE THEY TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS SPECIAL AMMO.
If you're doing this you're pathetic.
It happened in my first game of Trials this weekend. All 3 had Icebreakers then switched to their 1000 yards later. The game's been changed for a reason, play it the way it's meant to be played now.
Go ahead and disagree. I won't care. You ladyboys always gotta find an exploit to get cheap kills instead of playing the game right. If you NEED sniper ammo that bad to get a kill then there's more wrong with you than just being a coward in a fake fight.

1 ReplyI don't care about the Icebreaker to get special issue. I only care about the " I'm shooting you in the head while you switch to a sniper and headshot me issue". They need to add a lot more flinch to snipers. If you are getting shot it should be almost impossible to hit your mark with a sniper.

I would rather use a sidearm and then switch to my shotgun. Either way, get over it. Adapt and overcome

1 ReplyUsing the icebreaker as an ammo dump is exactly what we all did year 1 when we needed rounds. Invective took too damn long. It's in the game, use it. I use side arms and shotguns and I'm just fine sneaking up behind someone while they're sniping. I've never seen a community cry so much over simple things in a game. This is OP, that is OP... Learn adapt and keep playing. If it's too much then find a different game. But my god you people cry about sniper rounds. You're not as good in game as you'd like to think. Somewhere out there a fat, girlfriendless/wifeless nerd that hasn't showered in a week and is surviving on Mountain Dew and Doritos is going to be better than you. That's just a simple fact of gaming. And for the top 1% lighthouse people. Go outside, seriously... Stop playing and go outside. you don't really need the icebreaker rounds and to beat up on casual players that just want to have fun . you've won at life. You've gone to a magical planet and have an emblem to prove it.

5 RepliesPeople are going to use whatever gives them the edge, and in Trials (and Elimination in general), snipers are significantly more powerful than other options. If IB is fixed people will just resort to camping in their spawn for special. It's the way it is unless Bungie decides to rebalance certain mechanics inherent to the mode (such as revive sniping).

1 ReplyWhy is it so important that someone has special ammo in the very first round? Is it that hard to use your primary for all of 20 seconds before special ammo crates pop up? It's absolutely pitiful that people have to exploit the icebreaker. This exact issue right here is what gets things nerfed or fixed that don't need to be fixed.

I still randomly use the IB in trials one shot headshots are still awesome & the IB is by far my favorite gun in the game. Using it for the ammo glitch is greasy though but it's a video game so who cares what the retards do,

There is a glitch in that game that allows players to clip through walls, not be shot, and see through anywhere in the map they want. [spoiler]In RANKED play btw[/spoiler] Using that is an exploit. But having ammo because of a [b][u]game mechanic[/u][/b] is definitely NOT an exploit.

I finally came back to destiny after losing a bet to a friend in a fighting game, and I was so lost about the special ammo thing but it makes sense to only start off with primary. The whole ice breaker situation, is a bit cheap I'll admit but if it's part of the game, people will exploit the hell Out of it until it's patched.
