I apologize.
I made a decision to avoid posting topics whose humor is derived from the reaction of the replies, not from content of the topic itself. Obviously this topic was treading on that line and not many people could see it was satirical. Therefore many angry replies were had despite it being tagged #satire. But rather than leave the thread up with a disclaimer, I feel it's better to take it down. So...sorry.

Heck we all played mortal combat growing up. There isn't even blood in this game.... we played smear the queer growing up/cussed like sailors etc. It wasn't because of video games, and certainly not an online community since there wasn't one.

I think one of Bungie's major downfalls was who they wanted to market towards. When you think about it, if this game was suppose to last 10years, who is going to be playing it 10 years from now? The 30+ year old dad or the 10 year old kid? It would only be in Bungies best interest to appeal to a younger audience seeing as they will most likely still be customers and videogame consumers in 10 years. Thats why this game was rated T, thats why there is no blood, thats why there was no chat options in the first half of year 1. They shot themselves in the foot because they lost the "cool" fator and got greedy.

Restricted from playing the games? Nah. I remember when I was 14 all I wanted to play was GTA San Andreas. Restricted from playing online with adults? Absolutely. Their parents should be more in tune to exactly what they're doing. When I was young I wasn't allowed in AOL chatrooms. Kids nowadays have no business looking on LFG sites to play with adults. There's just something really unsettling about it.

The game is rated "T" for teens. Anyone should be able to play it. Heck my 6 year old brother plays destiny and let me tell you he's pretty dang good at it. He plays in some crucible games better than some teens and adults. I say everyone should be able to play a game they enjoy

I have no problem with "squeakers" per say. I don't care how annoying you [u]sound[/u] or come off, but if you know what you're doing and can do it efficiently I don't care. I'll put up with a squeaker if it means something is finished sooner.
