I decided to delete the post due to negativity in the idea, your welcome. I'll be making a post shortly that has a counter-proposal.
Basically for people who were wandering what it was was a petition for a Non-Contact Racing mode for people who don't want to be BSed across the track by abnormal affects caused by contact between Sparrows, but appearently it was a bad idea. So let this post die.
Edit: The new post I'm making will be a post for contact problems that happen when Sparrows clash to be fixed/altered.

I kind of agree. The only way people seem to be able to bet me is by banging into me all race until they get lucky and crash me.

3 Repliesmaybe a tweek in cause and affect ,ok,but no contact?no, the video by bungie says this is what they fully intended. a mode along with normal to pick a type of gameplay you want? yes, i dont see why they couldn't add that in the future .

2 RepliesThe effect might be a little excessive, but cheap tactics are definitely a staple of racing games in general.
-
1 ReplyHold on.. driving around on mars and Venus in a race on sparrows that hover over the ground is unrealistic?
-
2 RepliesYou mean have a Time Trial just like other racing games right? Yea that would be fun. As you know they are just trialing sparrow racing at the moment so hopefully it's successful enough for them to add more race modes and maps down the track.
-
1 ReplyI would bump but ill probaby launch somebodys sparrow 50ft in the air.
bump
6 Replies
Sparrows cause unrealistic problems when clashing with another Sparrow.
Unrealistic? I hear you. In real life my sparrow has never reacted this way when getting hit during a high speed sparrow race.

1 ReplyBumping for public awareness.

2 RepliesYou realize all racing games have contact... are you mental? Need for speed, drive club, gran turismo, forza... Mario kart .. crash bandicoot racing... wipe out... all have bumping and contact... go grow a pair and learn to race moron.
-
2 RepliesOf all the problems in the world. You used your one soap box for this. Well played

2 RepliesSomeone taps my sparrow: Instant last place I run full force into somebody: they stay as steady as -blam!-ing chuck noris' arm in an arm wrestling contest

1 ReplyEdited by Wells: 12/9/2015 10:16:05 PMDont agree. I want them to take contact further and give everyone a single super use (sparrow specific) that would liven up these races. Imagine being a defender and popping a small bubble around your sparrow that prevent you from being bumped, or a fist of havoc-esque smash that wrecks people around you. It would be a lot of fun.

4 RepliesOh my God I know!!! I hate how unrealistic my space magic sparrow shoots off when someone bumps me! I mean come on, the gravitational force on mars and Venus shouldn't allow that! Wait a minute...

1 ReplyNo. No. No. Please.. Refrain from making additional posts like this...

2 RepliesI like it. They say that you treat it like a crucible match. Do I hit you with flowers and rainbows in crucible?? -blam!- no, I kill you.

3 RepliesBUNGIE said that it was encouraged to race "dirty" and bump other players out of gates.

I was thinking of going the other way. Mount some weapons on them maybe two man sparrows, the passenger can do drive bys.
-
Yup. Contact in this game is ridiculous.
