Star Wars Battlefront flopped!
Star Wars Battlefail currently has a 73 on metacritic with more mixed reviews than positive. It was obvious that this game was a cash grab lacking mode's.
It's sad to know that E.A. have the licence, the day's of great Star Wars games like KotOR are long gone.
What score do you guys think Star Wars Battlefront will achieve on metacritic over the next few days? My prediction is a 66 overall...

6 RepliesBeta was fun but only for about an hour or two. They nailed the Star Wars settings, music and feel. However the gameplay is too simplistic. It was clearly made for the casual gamer and anyone who enjoys playing FPS games seriously won't find much for them here. The gunplay has an extremely low skill ceiling. If it was 20-30 bucks I might pick it up but the fact that the full game plus the season pass will cost $110 is almost a joke. I actually laughed out loud after playing the beta and then seeing what the cost of the season pass was going to be.

The end of the day, an online game is only as good as the people playing it, as long as it keeps a community playing against each other it's not a fail and nobody can gauge or predict that! Titanfall was hot as -blam!- for a couple of months and their community just vanished and now you can buy the game and all its DLCs for like £5 on XBL!

I have it and enjoy it. Why have tons of modes when that will fracture your player base? Go look at COD. Do many people play modes besides Domination or TDM? No.

THIS IS GOOD This will show game companies that it is NOT OK to put out games with zero content. That's the main complaint of all the reviewers. If the game had even half of the planned dlc included, those scores would be much higher. Hopefully game companies see that.

Star Wars Battlefront is getting the scores Titanfall should have had. It's a multi-player only experience in a genre that traditionally has a single player campaign. Multi-player isn't for everyone. Plus, no space battles. To put this in perspective, 2014 was a bad year for the gaming press. In addition to Gamergate and the gamejournopros list scandal, look at the review scores for games like Titanfall, Watchdogs, Murdered Soul Suspect, and Destiny. Is Murdered Soul Suspect really better than Destiny? Is Titanfall? More than a few gaming sites dropped review scores altogether after the backlash. Now review scores seem to be back on track, especially when you discount the paid PR gaming sites that give every game a score between 90 to 100%.
