The OP clearly knew the sword wasn't the exotic version. He simply stated he ruined his chance of getting the exotic version by accidentally dismantling his Sol edge because he didn't lock it. Read.

Is English your first language? He can't just buy it again, in order to get it again he'd have to make a new character, which; he clearly doesn't want to do. Legendary weapons/gear cannot be re-purchased, they can only be obtained through the same means of which they were obtained before. Meaning the sword can only be obtained from the quest.
