I don't think many of you understand. The "well it's RNG, deal with it or stop playing" brigade. You people are utter morons, a significant part of weekly events have literally no point to them. The XP/Rep buff is gone and the drops are still shit. The nightfall is 90% a complete waste of time. Yet this is ok to you?
Edit: People still don't get it, you can just BUY three of coins. Why perform a weekly activity when it's going to give you easily obtained consumables? What is the point in making it a nightfall at all when you get better gear from just doing heroic strikes. Consumables shouldn't be in the loot table, neither should strange coins unless it's going to be a lot.

Very useful considering when you switch to future war cult (Because apparently bungie wants to force us to love them) your current exotic class item for New Monarchy/Dead orbit (DO in my case) has its light level negated and you can no longer wear it for the week. I think the possibility of 310 legendaries from the nightfall are a very good prospect. Considering we can get ghosts too. This allows us to level up the harder items to level up (With no current exotics to obtain at 310- Class item, Boots, and ghost)

Did one so far and got a 310 suros before i got nothing but strange coins id say they improved it all my clan mates also have had good luck with the change

4 RepliesIncreasing the amount of coins and TOC that drops isn't a reward for doing the nightfall. You then have to either wait to use the coins with xur or run strikes in the hope that you'll get a chance of an exotic drop. Seems like you need to work twice as hard if you get either of these drops in comparison to instant gratification with a weapon or a piece of armour dropping.

6 RepliesI hit the Psion flayers nd last night, not one legendary engram dropped, no exotics, only reward was strange coins (which isn't so bad for me). I've gone through around 8 three of coins over the last few days and had almost nothing drop except for a handful of reciprocal runes. I haven't even seen a strike specific item drop in any of the teams I've been on. RNG woes
