What are your favorite new weapons in Crucible?
The Taken King has been out a few weeks now, and you have had some time to earn new weapons and give them a spin in Crucible. What weapons have started to emerge as your new favorites?

Hawksaw, really any fast shooting pulse rifle has been great. Not much a fan of 4-shot burst weapons.

Don't talk about ANY weapons you like they're looking to nerf the things you love been awhile since last weapon nerf so they're getting restless

Red Death is #1 now that TLW and Thorn have taken a seat. It's the best gun for EVERYTHING in the game (outside of malice on daughters and oryx) Hawkmoon is still viable but feels meh for an exotic. The raid sniper or anitomy suit my sniper needs since I don't have a longview slr10 on any of my stares. Ruin Wake is awesome since I can't get my hands on a raid lmg. Not a fan of RL's any more but anything with high velocity/br and Horseshoes will do (see FWC RL) I am amazed by how terrible the base stats are on most legendary primary weapons - there aren't many options out there, but the Villainy from FWC is pretty incredible for an "off the shelf" weapon. I also received an Eyasluna the other day and it's probably the best legendary HC I've tested so far. Last Extremity is also a pretty bomb off the shelf scout rifle and the low stability isn't really an issue with the RoF and those 3 shots are tasty. I'm not a fan of auto rifles so I don't have much knowledgeable input there (though I've heard Red Specter is awesome) Conspiracy theory is an incredible shotgun from the vanguard nightfall quest. The chaperone is absolutely insane in the right hands (Great wep design for an exotic here) I don't have enough experience with fusion rifles to comment but I'm reallllllly looking forward to testing this Thesan from the gunsmith!!!! Holy wall of text. Hopefully there's a little something for everyone in there.

Most people are still stuck on their year one weapons and it's understandable. But when trials releases next week they may regret not finding a new weapon & getting more comfortable with it.

Plus my MIDA Multi Tool, Judgement VI, BTRDs, Felwinter's Lie and The Fear are all too good to not use. The only "new" gun I've used is Hawkmoon, which is new to me, as an Xbox user, and it's one hell of a gun. I'll get back to you with an update once I start trying some of my year 2 guns out in PvP. Assuming I can part with my old setup.

Hey cozmo i have a question. I have been away from my console for a couple of months and i get back the end of this month. I already purchased ttk and i've been playing for a long time (week 1). Is it still possible for me to get that veterans engram with a year one exotic in it? Thanks for your feedback!

1 ReplyMy fav new weapon? A full 6 man fire team. God only knows how bad blueberries are when I even attempt to play solo. I feel like the good players are limited to my friends list and people on the opposite team.
