Micro Transactions Don't Belong in $60 games.
There's no justification for it. Even if I don't spend a dime myself doesn't mean it's not sick that I paid for this game and every expansion pass and still have items blocked off from me.
It doesn't matter what items your selling.
It doesn't matter how cheap they are.
You're taking advantage of people and it's wrong. It's not a debate.

3 RepliesHow do you expect Bungie to fund this game? Seriously, they have to get money somehow, how do you reason the funds it takes to make the content we play? Do you even understand how much it cost to make TTK? Microtransaction profits are used to make new content in lots of different games, to name a few, Mass Effect 3, GTA V, Warframe, ESO, Path of Exile, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft... The list goes on.

4 RepliesAs of right now you do. If they release something tomorrow morning for sale you have not paid for it. As long as they stay away from selling weapons armor and stuff like that with micro transactions I don't care. If every player buys one $1 dance and one $1 emote that's what? Millions of extra dollars for destiny to developers with.

7 RepliesA lot of $60 games don't get any additional content. You get what is listed and that is all. Currently we have gotten all that we were told would be included. So you haven't been blocked from anything, any more than someone who didn't buy taken king doesn't get to join in the king's fall raid. What's more, no matter how many people buy the taken king you won't get the raid if you don't buy it yourself. Now we have a handful of cosmetic things being introduced. If other people buying these things makes it possible for me to get extra content added at no charge to my game... That is a win for me. Maybe bungie will blow it. Maybe it will work to all our favors. Either way you aren't blocked from anything you paid for.

13 RepliesMicro Transactions aren't new... they're just new to consoles. The reality is Destiny is an "Always "On" Game" it exist and operates on live servers.... servers cost money to operate, dlc takes cash to develop... So for Destiny to remain a profitable, and yes Bungie and Activision are companies formed for the primary objective of making profit, they have to have a more stable way of generating income. Thus you have two options; Micro Transactions or Subscription Fee! Destiny isn't like your Assassin's Creeds or your GTA 5, where the majority of the game is stored on your hard drive for you to access with or without friends. It is located on servers. So large initial sales will not, and can not generate enough income to fully support a games server support for a year, yet alone two years.

8 RepliesWrong. Video games are a luxury item. They are not a necessity nor a basic human right. They are a collective group of people's intellectual property and they can do as they please with it. It's controversial, yes, but it is neither immoral nor taking advantage of people. $20 got me three shaders emotes and class items of which I like 2 things. I would much rather pay, say $6 for the ones I want, so I see this as the exact opposite of being taken advantage of.
