Phantom Pain Episode 45 halp (completed)
Edit: Well shite, right when I come here to complain I complete it. Took a bunch of GMP for bombardments though..
What were the devs [i]thinking?[/i] This is the most cheap and frustrating mission I've played in any of the MGS titles to date. Hell, it doesn't even bloody warn you you need heavy weaponry. You can't even quit to mission to go back the ACC without doing an exploit.
[spoiler]Sorry. I really needed to vent. I love MGS, its my favorite stealth franchise. But this is[i] ridiculous. [/i]This is coming from a guy who actively attempts to get FOX and rank S on every mission. Very much doubt I'll get it on this one.[/spoiler]
Anyone have any suggestions? That damned tank always seems to snipe me off, even if i'm like, 20 metres away from it. I've tried bombardment and everything. Hell, my rockets are up to grade 3 stars, I have C4/Anti-vehicle mines/EMP mines. I've literally been on this for hours the past few days.
BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE... yay for Metal Gear Online launching tomorrow! And yeah, I've had the game since launch. Its taken me awhile to get to this point of the story. But there's so much damned fun side ops that keeps me occupied.
Online update (because apparently this is still being bumped): Online is fun. No dedicated servers, no host migration. Dammit Konami.

Just use GROM and battle armor. Took me a couple tries but got a flawless run after 3-4 tries

That was a (phantom) pain in the ass. After spending 4 hours running around back and fourth from one side of the building to the other firing rockets, that damn tank always found a way to kill me. I gave up and called in several air strikes.

8 RepliesIt's not that hard. I don't see why so many people have trouble with it. I just used a level 5 rocket launcher can't remember the name of it.

I had my tranq sniper equipped lol it gave me the grom but I was so used to my multi target rocket it seemed lame. I was not prepared at all, I have never spent so much on supply drops as I did in that mission. Quiet kept getting pumped so I told her to not cover me and just did it myself.

Yeah it's -blam!-ing terrible. If it wasn't for MGO id probably trade it in. That one -blam!-ing tank just wouldn't go down for me and kept sniping me. I just gave up haha.

When I played it, soldiers were spotting me through the sandstorm that passed, the tanks were aiming at where I was INSIDE the building at all times, the bitch one shot tank would fire at me FROM BEHIND THE -blam!-ING MOUNTAIN before Kaz was even done telling me that more were coming and hit me directly which makes no sense, etc. I just bombarded anything that moved
