Hawkmoon OP
OK I am getting killed in 3-4 shots at long range (for hand cannons at least) in crucible with this weapon. I feel this weapon is a bit too OP and should be nerfed, like reducing range and stability perhaps. Just my opinion.

Hahaha yeah 3 or 4 shots, try getting cross mapped 1 shot back in the day. HM is fine.

That's adverage hand cannon stats man, it's actually one of the most balanced hand cannons of the game (with the exception of AoS which is basically as inoffensive as you can get

You've just gotten Hawkmoon. You don't even know what an overpowered Hawkmoon looks like. This watered down version is nothing compared to before.

Its damage drop off starts insanely close pull yours out shoot it at a vandal check damage walk back 15 steps shoot another vandal and see the damage fall off at work it can push into closer mid range for damage reduction that balanced

Even before the balancing I never had a problem with the Hawkmoon because people actually needed to aim to kill. Hawkmoon is still a good gun but not as good as it was before the patch.

It can only kill in 2 head shots if the bikers have the buff which is rare and it takes skill has a slow fire rate and have to pick and choose your shots. It's not op at all. Just skill

People keep talking about how its not a stupid gun, usually the people who rely on general cheap antics to try and win in crucible. Getting 2 shot, in the body because the bullets just so happen to stack the buff like that into the clip is stupid. So instead of promoting headshots and actually timing, you make a weapon that can potentially kill people without any aiming required.

What makes Hawkmoon dumb is that it relies off of RNGesus. Cool gun, fun to play with, but the whole RNG aspect of it gets old fast and messes with PVP. PVE it's fine though.

2 RepliesIt's not OP, it's just not balanced with the other hand cannons. What needs to happen is a buff to Hand cannons so that the weapon class is brought back up to par.

4 RepliesMaybe you should learn to play tactically. If you're out in the open long enough for the person to shoot you four times, you might want to reconsider your PvP strategy. And stop complaining. In real life, a a .357 shooting .357's, not .38's, would put you on your ass in a heartbeat.

Your opinion sucks. The weapon is fine. If you're getting killed at long range with a hand cannon you were probably standing in the same place for too long. You want to counter a hand cannon out of its range? Walk around. They aren't gonna hit you.

3-4 shots is normal ._. Its got three luck in the chamber bullets two of which can mount on one bullet the third used to mount also but they removed that possibility in weapon tuning as it could potentially be a one shot kill. I got that one shot kill with it once it was awesome never again but always remember hawkawesome.
