Just curious how people do it. For example, my overall hovers around 0.8, but I've gotten significantly better over time, and my 30 day is over 1 and past week is around 2. Granted I haven't played extensively on Crucible lately, and I'll have a 5.0 match directly followed by a 0.2. Sometimes I'm just all the suck, lol. Explanations welcome!

  • I don't care about k/d to be honest. You can have a 6 k/d by going 6/1 having just joined or Sat in one room the whole game. Or as with me you can go 7.0 going 42/6. My k/d is only 1.0 higher so it looks similar but I obviously did way better... So I guess I look at the actual kills vs deaths not the ratio

    • K/d doesn't matter most of the time anyway. Assists and objectives are most of the game. Besides, it doesnt matter if you win or lose you still get the same crap rewards.

      • When I do peek I usually look at overall. But their will always be players who are better or worse then their stats. A prime example is MyNameDeaf(posted below) is genuinely a far better player than his stats lead you to believe.

Only thing I look at is Trials K/D. I'm not the greatest, but my characters usually hover around 1.0 in ToO, my team just all pulls their own weight when we've gone flawless I've seen 3.5 k/d in normal crucible have 0.2 k/d in trials. Edit: this is just me, but I always look at most weapon kills on trials as well. Mine is Sniper, so when I see shotty I just kind of laugh. Hand Cannon, you can't tell if it was used as a crutch or not so that one is always interesting.

            • None of the above. KDR is highly manipulative through classic stat padding and or completely deleting of characters. It may be the lowest base line I look at. I prefer Medals as a good display of PvP prowess.

              • Trials KD. With that you can't say that you play sweats in it or that you don't try.
