That's what happens when the forums post about burning strange coins for heavy to insta rank factions w conversion of synth to rep. Hahaha! Bungie strikes again. They really are dicks. I swear, anything at all that we find/discover as a community and player base gets tossed right out. -blam!-ers. Lol. "We realized there was an exploit in game which was on the cusp of getting abused, which enabled a player to basically buy faction rep. So we reduced the buying power of strange coins, so now you will need to spend 80% more to buy the same rep." -blam!- em I say. Exclusion zone, heavy synth, more exclusion zone, heavy synth.... Rank up fast, dismantle for legendary marks, ascend all year 1 to year 2 exotics. Hmmm maybe that's their plan all along. 40k hrs spent in exclusion zone, farming glimmer.

They didn't want to make it too easy for ppl to lvl factions using heavy synths. A lot of ppl speculated Bungie would adjust the coin to synth ratio and bingo.

Ya they lowered it a little so players don't abuse the faction reputation "cheese" alot of 1sc=5ha 200sc=1000ha which equals 25k faction rep that's alot of levels for easy coin farming until tk
