Who else thinks Nolan sounds terrible?!!
Dinklage was sooooo much better! People moaning that Dinklage underplayed it, but it was subtlety he was playing, as he is an ai ROBOT after all.
I know Nolan makes more sense as its his business and he's more readily available but now it sounds so cheep and over done. He sounds like he's permanently questioning himself. Ha
Peter Dinklage was awesome! If it ain't broke don't fix it!
But all the fussy childish players out there who thought "well it could be better", nagged away endlessly at Bungie, and Dinklage (which pissed me off) until we all get stuck with this shit "performance" (if that's what you wanna call it).
And now all the people who were amongst the bitchy little whine a lots that caused this mess, have realised that they should've been happy with a good thing and not chased after the mythical "perfect".
At least give us a setting to switch between the two voices for year 1 content so we have a choice!!!

EDIT - Wow THANKS for all the support guys!!! This post is blowing up! I had no idea that (near) EVERYONE else felt as strongly about this as me.
Thank you to all Guardians, keep the replies coming and maybe Bungie will add the voice toggle switch so we can have our little Dinklebot back for year one content.

Dinklage was bad, Nolan is atrocious. How is it that all the other voices in the game are good-great, but they keep screwing up the Ghost?

No offense to his humorous moments in the game,but sometimes he sounds like he enjoying the death murder and danger witnessed as you play(basically,I'm going to call Nolan North bot...PYSCHO-BOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

He is the medicine commercial bot... You know the ones on tv that tell you the negative side effects and are bubbly while telling you that you could die, get cancer and so on.

3 RepliesIt's funny north has had some amazing voice work in the past but I think you're right. Dinklbot may have been rather unenthusiastic most of the time but northbot just has this misplaced childhood excitement about things that seem more dark and serious (we've woken the hive) just to name one example of Dinklbot over North. I haven't been through every cutscene or new dialogue though so north may yet prove himself as the superior "little light" but Dinklbot isn't leaving popular opinion for a while

Dinklage definitely sounded like he was reading a script, but at least his voice had character. Nolan sounds too quiet and wimpy. Disappointed to say the least.

The only thing in my opinion making Nolan sound appealing is realizing that he sounds similar to Guilty Spark from Halo. Think of it and let the nostalgia just settle in :) and also remember Dinkel will be badass in GoT next season.

Please 'let me pay' for a female Ghost voice - Scarlett Johansson / Cortana's extended ghost presence / Cortana's sister / whatever except the current one that you just want to turn off... The previous was just a good companion, this one makes you want to grab it and throw it across the map... Even allowing us to 'select to keep previous voice for existing/Year 1 statements would have made it way more tolerable. The old Windows paperclip helper sounds would have been better...

Much as I hate microtransactions, I think I'd pay 1.99 for a better voice if they had a few options (even my stupid voice would be better than this guy's)...like the way CoD Ghosts did, where u could pay a couple bucks and pick between R Lee Ermey or Snoop. Hey, maybe that's been their plan all along! Put this crappy default voice in and then roll out an option for way better voices for money after you realize you can't stand Nolan. Diabolical!!! But what's done is done, so I vote for let's get Jack Nicholson to read for ghost, or Sammy L!

So I saw a poll yesterday. It's somewhere between 60 to 70 percent of people. Myself included. Dinklebot was mediocre but it fit the game mood. This new guy.....no. just no. He's take on the situation is out of context.
