I benched my thorn. Anyone else?
Honestly have grown to hate this weapon since I have benched it. Now it's all about the last word for small maps. And Hopscotch Pilgrim for ranged maps.
Anyone else finally bench the thorn? I hope the nerf kills it personally. Haha.
What's your load outs these days?

5 RepliesPersonally I hate the last word more than anything. It kills faster than thorn and doesn't require aiming and it fries way faster. I feel wayyyy less cheated when I'm killed with a thorn.

Hopscotch for every map. Lord of wolves is noice for small maps

I mainly use The Last Word, not because it's OP, or because it's a crutch. I use it because I love using the gun. The feeling of using is still amazing. I'm still going to use it post 2.0, because it's my favourite gun in the game. Period.

I switch between TLW and MIDA. My secondary is HB, never switch. And for heavy, I like tomorrow's answer.

All I use is the hopscotch for now, it's my baby. Used to use TLW and prob have 20 kills with thorn, it's just a joke

I stopped using a while ago for the most part. The only time I pulled it out, I was playing a full fireteam running Thorn/shotty

I have never used my Thorn in crucible. Red Death is my go to weapon.

Got the messenger on my first flawless run. Never turned back. I always resented resorting to Thorn long before that though and typically only used it when two or more on the other team were using it. If I run an exotic primary I typically go with Mida now.

Edited by anacreon: 9/1/2015 9:27:36 AMI kind of switch thigs up a bit i think i used a different exotic primary for every day of IB. a bit of tlw, some red death, pinch mida, and a dash suros. Secondary i tend to stick with my trusty found verdict and corrective measure in the heavy slot.

MIDA Praedyths Revenge / Felwinters Lie Radegasts Fury I got thorn, popped it in the vault and have never even fired it.... never. I played with TLW, just prefer scouts. I like the random jamming built into TLW that makes some think it's broken. More weapons should have jamming mechanisms. Make it more fun and rage inducing at the same time :D

I'm the same I used it so much and then I thought I'd give messenger ago and there was no looking back. I do use it in trials tho because 95% of players use that or last word.

Yep. I carried it in IB, but only swapped out my Hopscotch with it when the other team was majority exotic hand cannons.

I despise thorn in crucible, I used to use it alot in pve but refuse to use it in the crucible. If others use it I grab my Last Word and wreck them, I like using Hard Light at the moment, it's quite under rated and nice to use something different.

If I'm using a hand cannon it's gotta be hawkmoon. Other than that I use mostly scout rifles.
