Why do men treat women gamers bad? I legit want true honesty here (open up)
Hey there, I'm a gamer from Texas.
I have a legit question I really want to know. After encountering so many rude remarks flirting, or even observing fellow female gamers yelled at/cat called...I really wanna know why a lot if you Lads don't like women? There would be times nothing would happen and yelling name calling and harassment would arise. Almost all of the times the lady gamer werent doing anything and the male would pick at her. Either being sexual or really aggressive. I noticed male gamers would get super mad when she would try to defend herself as if she had no right to defend herself. Then there are the few sweet guys that are super quiet guys. Only 1% percent out of 99 percent. Just tell me a simple sentence of what your attitude towards women is, in the gaming community. Is it Jealousy? Nervousness? No contact with women? Or you just don't like women gaming? Thanks.[spoiler]im watching he honest ok....[/spoiler]

Guy gamers are Intimidated by them too be honest. Hate me for whatever reason. I believe it is that because video games have always been a guy thing and guys get scared when a woman steps on their turf. [spoiler] I know not all guys are like this. I'm meaning the ones that actually are rude to girl gamers [/spoiler]

I honestly don't know maybe they just want you on their friends list, maybe they want to have an Internet girlfriend i truly don't know, I'm sorry you get treated bad but the only way to get back them is to kick their ass in that game. One of my gamer girl friends keeps her mic off, when people start hating on her she puts it on and tells them their just butthurt about getting destroyed by a girl they shut up or they get saltier.

Well, I'm a girl and most of the people I play with are nice. I've run into two or three that have been true jerks. So yeah

Thank you for lumping me into a one percent it really means a lot first off. Secondly male gamers are complex in my opinion because they're usually horny teens or sexist adults. And since it's over the mic they think they're anons and they can't be found which is stupid. That's why they can't be nice. A lot of my friends list consists of female gamers but people consider me very feminine for a guy so I do get a lot of harassment but if they flirt consider yourself lucky

There is a mute button, and I have seen it work, my friend mutes people when they get on her nerves. But the reason for men/boys just doing that is because they only eat cold waffles.

80% of a gaming community is 8-12 year olds that don't know what to do when a female enters the lobby and they panic.

I've never seen it happen when I play to be honest. I'd just hear other guys get more talkative when a girl is in game, like they magically found a mic. Nothing to the extent of being hostile. Didn't know this was a problem until recently.

Mainly deals with maturity and a sense of superiority due to masculinity. In other words, just childish antics. Similar insults are thrown at homosexuals. Not nearly as much, but it happens. I just let it go.

Unless everyone I know is this 1% you're referring to, idk what you're talking about. Granted, we're not quiet sweet guys, we're a rowdy bunch but I never really deliberately went out of my way to harass those of the opposite sex :3

It's based on a superiority complex, guys think they are better than girls and start joking around. I always thought it was dumb but I can't stop everyone.

Generally (in my experience) the guys who hate on girls online are also the people who claim hacks or mods whenever they lose. They're the bullies and "superior" players that think everyone is below them and will use any excuse to degrade other players. This video came to mind too btw

Not all are like that, if I see a girl in a gamer I say [b]Nothing[/b] if she talks to me I talk to her, no weird stuff a normal conversation like normal people
