Come September your grind meant nothing
So according to the latest news, you will not be able to upgrade [i][b]legendary[/b][/i] year one weapons/armor. All those dragon strikes for Hopscotch and guess what... there will be stronger ones out. Those fancy adept weapons from trials... pfft sit down, we got bigger and better ones coming. Oh wait, the mighty Fatebringer will be no more. Gotta love the direction this game is heading in. 10 years people this is the plan. Mean while, $1000 later, regrind again.

I love it! The flames are rising in the forums now. So many similar topics all over the place. I might change my name to Firestarter. Keep up the good work. This stuff is gold, especially when bored at work. I need more entertainment. Not sure how long this topic will stay alive before it's nuked like a previous topic I created. I also appreciate the defenders justifying their hard earned time. Keep telling yourself it wasn't all for nothing.
Picture your favorite car... Do you buy the next model each year or do you hold onto it because you love it? Too expensive, no problem. Do you buy new ice cream every week or do you stick with what you love? You have your comforts and so do I.

10 RepliesHonestly I don't care, Im not attached to any weapons in this game. They all kill, they all upgrade. I'm ready for new things. I wish they would make us start from level 1 and work to 40. The best times I had were starting off weak and growing stronger. And who knows, there might be better weapons than the ones we have. I'm stoked.

They'll still be there. They'll basically be the 331 Weapons instead of maxed 365. There will be better guns but that doesn't mean they are done. Plus old weapons are unique

10 RepliesThat's kinda the point of an mmo, u move on to bigger and better stuff. The past year isn't wasted, u still had fun and had good experiences. If you didn't, well then you are playing the game for the wrong reasons.

1 ReplyYeah why would I want to pay 40 dollars for TTK so I can log in more time and fun in the game hunting down new gear. Makes so much more sense to spend the money and ascend everything and be a day one lvl 40, and then complain there is nothing to do.

Agreed In other Destiny: Year Two news, Bungie has confirmed the existing set of Legendary level weapons and armour will not be upgradable any further.

You can still wear your armor, it will just be like going from 1-20 again. But different armor is for cosmetics I guess.

Fatebringer can still be picked up in the vault of glass and u can also still do the vault of glass raid for fun n use the fatebringer.

I might stop grinding for a hopscotch pilgrim. Though i mainly wanted it for crucible, so i guess one would still be useful in there

Edited by TheBran127: 8/4/2015 6:35:36 PMDo you people think you are going to reach lvl 40 immediately? With light levels gone, you will essentially be level 20 again. That's 20 levels to progress through and current gear should help. Yes it's not going to be the all powerful anymore but it will give you the leg up to obtain lvl 40. It just won't be the best anymore.
