Come September your grind meant nothing
So according to the latest news, you will not be able to upgrade [i][b]legendary[/b][/i] year one weapons/armor. All those dragon strikes for Hopscotch and guess what... there will be stronger ones out. Those fancy adept weapons from trials... pfft sit down, we got bigger and better ones coming. Oh wait, the mighty Fatebringer will be no more. Gotta love the direction this game is heading in. 10 years people this is the plan. Mean while, $1000 later, regrind again.

I love it! The flames are rising in the forums now. So many similar topics all over the place. I might change my name to Firestarter. Keep up the good work. This stuff is gold, especially when bored at work. I need more entertainment. Not sure how long this topic will stay alive before it's nuked like a previous topic I created. I also appreciate the defenders justifying their hard earned time. Keep telling yourself it wasn't all for nothing.

Considering all that grind from year 1 pretty much year 2 progression won't mean anything so you grinding pretty much for 1 year for items that will be relevant for 1 year that kinda sucks, the only people happy about this is the jobless people who all they do is play destiny 24 7

6 RepliesUmmm... is that not the point of progression in these types of games...? Like seriously. No matter how much you liked the rare handcannon you had, you gave it up because there's better, right? Look at other mmos's, or pseudo-mmo's even. New expansion=higher level cap + better equipment=more difficult enemies. If you genuinely expected it to last this long, I feel bad for you. I, on the other hand, am looking forward to trying out new weapons rather than just use a fatebringer the whole game.

Who ever honestly thought that you could carry Year One gear into Year Two was only fooling themselves. Besides the obvious concern of Vault Capacity, you guys had to know this was coming. Exotics are everything. There will always be new and better Legendaries with every expansion.

Regular Crucible doesn't have weapon leveling advantages. So keep on grinding for that hopscotch everyone. 400 damage weapons in normal Crucible will still do the same amount of damage as 365 weapons. Keep the grind alive, Guardians.

2 RepliesSo you wanted to play through a whole new dlc with the same old weapons the -blam!-? Now everyone will be equal no requiring guns or running through shit with the most powerful guns. MMOs don't survive running the same base gear

1 ReplyGranted, it is a bit frustrating. But everyone's right that's saying it doesn't matter. Year one stuff will still be good for year one activities, and year two stuff is good for year two activities. And if this is the last dlc before destiny 2, then obviously it needs to hold us over for quite some time.
