We need burns for skolas

Tbh I myself hated when they nerfed him. But now after deafening him twice afterwards. I find it very challenging and really fun. Yes it can take awhile but its also a fun challenge

Yeah we should totally continue with the killing of the hardest boss in game within a 40 second period. The no burns actually makes it somewhat a "challenge." The upside to this, you have a better control of the fight, you can keep adds down 100% of the time, then when you have to burn skolas you can do it easily. You can have no adds on mines, or very few. The downside is if you happen to screw up horribly. Have fun starting that prolonged fight over again. Skolas isn't hard by any means, it just takes more communication than "shoot rockets" or "jump to the middle" for our past bosses.

I wouldn't say need but when people -blam!- up and die now they waste 20-30 minutes and have to start over. Just makes ppl rage more as opposed to ppl constantly grinding it out for hours with burns because of how easy it could potentially be. Just pointing something out that I noticed. Truly don't care if they keep or change it.

38 RepliesSkolas doesn't need burns. They just need to remove the poison if there's only one person alive. It's total bullshit to get that poison when you're the only one left. That's a cheap ass mechanic.

It was actually fun when I did it without burns. I mean... I'm all for a good gjallahorn spam, but I enjoyed the fight w/out. MIDA is life.

It doesn't need burns... it need worthwhile rewards. People don't do it because it's hard, they don't do it because it's not worth the time or effort. Not saying everyone avoids it though, just those of us who feel it's not even worth the time of day.

I beat skolas with only 1 wipe my first try and never even played with burns so yeah, if you can't beat him stick to crucible

If you pay attention and communicate, you shouldn't have a single problem. Dont be afraid to have a buddy go down from taint if it means the other two can catch a mine. Its always ever been common sense.

1 ReplyA guaranteed burn every week is stupid. Having the burn chance completely removed was the wrong decision though... They should have just lowered the chances of getting one. Maybe like a 10% chance for a burn or something?

5 RepliesHahahahahaha. No. My team and I did it in under an hour for the WHOLE thing. The Skolas fight took like maybe 10-15 mins. Just takes teamwork. P. S. They were randoms, not people I knew.
