No luck to get Gjallarhorn
I spend 7 months and everyday to get gjallarhorn but no luck... I done weekly strikes alot of times, I done a raids about 50 times, few times in crucible, few times in strike playlist, still no gjallarhorn for me... Alot of my friends got gjallarhorn but I did not own gjallarhorn... it is not right. Did I do something wrong?
(Update 6/2/15) I finally got my first gjallarhorn after defeat deathsinger!! :D plus its my birthday today.

You complain that you have played for 7 months and have yet to receive your deserved gjallahorn as you put it. I'm here to tell you just play the game and quit crying about it, it will come in its own sweet time. I have created a total of 5 characters and logged almost 1,000 hours between them. I finally dropped my first gjallahorn today. Yet not having one did not stop me from playing any part of the game, nor did it make the game any less enjoyable to say the least. You and many others revere this exotic so much that it lends itself to be a cruch for you all. Which in turn lends itself to be a cancerous cell in this game that so many of us love to play for the social interaction as we as guardians dish out vengeance to the minions of darkness. All I can say is your missing the whole point of the game.

Took me over 1000 hours, got it last week got another one 4 days later, they are dropping a lot this last few weeks, bungie know they are needed for the 35 I wouldn't be surprised if it was sold very soon.

The important is that i need gjallarhorn is to beat skolas in lvl 35, without it, it would be harder to beat and struggles for me.

I got it 2 days ago after completing the prison of elders lvl 28 and opening the big chest it was a very awesome moment don't give up I felt the same way as you before i got mine

The Ghorn drop rate is low so I wouldn't be suprised. Try opening the chest in 35 PoE

Still no rocket launcher... Wtf did I do wrong." Bungie should make a section called "Cry Here" for everyone that feels the need to post about weapon drops. You have been playing since launch and you have done 50 raids. You had a 2 month head start on me and I have over 260 completions. Gjallarhorn dropped for me 2 times on the Gorgon chest, 1 time on Atheon, 1 time on Death Singer, 1 time on Crota, and two days ago, I just got another one from a legendary engram that I got when I killed a HoW Captain during an event. Looks like Gjallarhorn drops when you play the game, not when you're wasting time posting on forums.

Still no luck for me either. It seems like it is dropping more for people now, so i'm hopefull i'll get one soon. Still have to do Crota and VoG (if i can find a team) and PoE and Nighfall this week with one of my characters.

I just got it for the first time 2 weeks ago. Give up all hope. Stop caring about getting it. After that it will drop
