DONE with this "treasure key" BS!
Like many of you, I spent countless hours this weekend grinding the "wolves" events in search of treasure keys. It was fun for about the first hour or two... but after that it was irritating beyond belief.
I found 2 keys and 2 legendary engrams.... and a shit ton of blue engrams.
I can't believe they actually thought this would be a good idea or fun for us players. HoW isn't even out yet and I'm already feeling completely let down. The mindless idiocy of running back and forth between 2 spots on a map... fighting the same fight over and over and opening chest after disappointing chest.... is this a sign of what the rest of the DLC is going to be like?
I'm sure many of you will disagree with me and that's likely because these forums are filled with a lot of people who will be fans of the game no matter how much it goes to shit.
Anyway... If I'm doing a patrol bounty and stumble across a wolf event, I'll stop and do it... but beyond that... I'm DONE with that tedious grind!

Hey hey we're in the same boat two keys, two legendary and a shit ton of blues and special ammo synths. Wanted one under my hunter but gave up.

4 RepliesI read that, with the release, you only can get [u]one[/u] key from a chest per week. You don't have to grind for those keys; you will get one after completing PoE on 32+. People who had grind for keys get extra loot, it doesn't mean you won't get any loot if you don't grind. It's totally okay if you didn't got one. Just play the way you want; it's your game! ;)

What I found worked best for me personally, go into a VoG lobby and farm Venus with some good friends and just talk and dick around while farming the chests.

2 RepliesHave you tried farming wolves and public events on Venus with 6 people? it is a blast... no patrols, but PE's, Wolves, Sparrow Racing, Jousting... tons of fun... if you don't want the keys get rid of them... try 6 man patrolling around though... most fun we've had in forever

It's fun and challenging to do. And one of my favorite parts are the hopes of getting something. And I do like RNG, but only for like shaders and exotics. Not Legendaries.

These guys who are grinding tirelessly are gonna get good gear and level up to max in a week.... then I guarantee they'll be back on the forums bitching about how they are bored and how bungie lied about depth of content. It's all about pacing guys. Comet is a long LONG way off

I got zero keys, 4 legendaries and blue engrams coming out my butt. I also lost a Conduit that got pushed out of my lost items because of blue engrams.

Its just a small add on so people who left will come back and play a bit more and for people who are still playing to have something to do you're gonna judge the DLC over a very tiny thing such as something in patrol? Grow up little child.

I got one treasure key and a legendary engram (class item lol) from about one hour of it. That is more then enough for me. Time to grind salvage I guess in hopes of getting a legendary about 24 hours earlier then I would have.

I have an obsession in video games in that I need to kill each and every enemy that is in the game until there is none left... Damnit Bungie!!! Because the enemy spawn over and over on patrol it is literally impossible to play that part and expect to get anywhere!

Today is the day to grind that certain event. If you did it this weekend & filled up everything, you don't know what you missed. After I got a single key, I quit doing it. Went back to crucible. Bout to do the strike playlist to get 3 more cryptarch ranks for 20 packs.

You're supposed to do the bounties and let it go man .. Not grind it forever. That's not what it was designed for.
