To all those 'thorn is not OP' posts.
You guys always say its not the gun, but its the player's fault. I disagree. This gun can put the best crucible player to the ground with 2 headshots. This gun IS overpowered and you thorners just don't want it nerfed.
If you want to flame me for not being good in crucible, go ahead. Idc, my skill is higher than yours anyway. I still have to see an flamer with a higher kd here...
Edit: all these scrubs flaming don't want their thorn nerfed.... ;)
Edit: most of you guys could only whine about 'lucky' headshots, so i changed that.
Yet another Edit: i'm not saying that the thorn owns me, i outgun them 80% of the time. But that doesn't take away the fact that its too powerful. A simple stability or range nerf should suffice.

Lol two lucky head shots? If u get shot by two head shots from any gun u were going to die anyway thorn is not OP by any means. DoT is slightly annoying but anyone with skill can counter it quickly

I have it and its fairly shit. The recoil is horrible and the poison only does about 36 damage in total, its good for an exotic but its really not amazing compared to weapons like timurs lash, the last word and hawkmoon

i believe they should make it like if you run a high armour build you survive with very low health left. It is indeed overpowered...

I run into very few players who are actually that good with the thorn.. Like very few. Sure, lots of ppl may use it, but not a lot of ppl are that good with it.

Thorn isn't a godly gun, ppl just don't like it BC you can't just run away after getting a little damage to regen health... I get more kills in every game with jolders hammer, and arc blade then with thorn... My teammates however clean up a ton of easy kills from my thorn use..

Take a powder Mary. I don't even have it and I can say it's not OP, just crouch once hit, hide and shoot back. The only time I get done by thorn is if I'm running or standing while fighting a thorn user.

Well, I was on the fence for a while seeing all these "thorn is op" posts. I had not played crucible in a long time. I'm really not good at it, only play it for exotic bounties, and once for ib. Went in for an ib match yesterday, half the enemy team was using thorn...killed most of them before they could kill me with an unupgraded red death (half upgraded, no health regen). Maybe before you say its op you should learn how to move while you shoot instead of standing in place and waiting for them to shoot you.

If you nerf a gun then another gun becomes the best and then everyone cries about that one and wanting it nerfed then it gets nerfed and another gun is now better and everyone cries for it to be nerfed! It's a vicious cycle! Stfu play the game and quit crying!

Thorn is the 2nd best hand cannon for PVP and you don't nerf the 2nd best hand cannon first. Push for the other weapons to be buffed otherwise your looking at a endless cycle of nerfing weapons til we are shooting marshmallows. Right now Vex, Red Death,Shotguns, Thorn, HawkMoon , are the strongest or just the most used .

3 RepliesOnly just started playing crucible but been playing the game since the beta and day one and tbh yes the Thorn is a powerful weapon but I have beaten it with the stranger's rifle and have been outgunned by TLW, Hawkmoon, and the vex. It's not the gun that is to blame but the map design they are mainly small with bottlenecks which are perfect for the hand cannon/shotgun combo so if the maps were larger the combination would be different so please before screaming for nerfs just think about the way the game is made
