Crux of Crota question
So I am on the hunt for a Crux of Crota so I can get the Necrocasim and I have a few questions.
Does it drop regardless of whether you have the Eidolon Ally upgraded or on the character you are using at the time?
Have any of you gotten it without owning the husk of the pit or Eidolon Ally?

I have read a few tips around needing glowhoo on the character you are trying with, however it seems that is debunked as well.

So... I finally got the crux... after countless crota runs........ Buuutt. I don't have the husk anymore.. What would be the best way to get the husk again.....if it is at all possible anymore.

The crux will drop no matter if you have husk or not

I know supposedly you must have beaten hard at least one time but I could have sworn the other day that I saw a guy get Glowhoo AND the Crux on the same drop. Not 100% sure though. Crux is the one thing I'm missing from Crota's End. Even have a fully upgraded Eidolon Ally waiting in the vault...

Yes you can get it without having husk or ediolon ally, and you can get it without having it upgraded. You can leave it in your vault, don't need to have any kind of anything equipped. Only rules are, you must have beaten hard mode at least once on whichever character you are playing on.

Mine dropped before husk and Glow was not equipped. It was my first hard on my lock I believe. Three ppl got one that run if I remember right.

I got it before I had the Husk.

Got 2 from hard mode (after beating normal) no glowhoo or ally equipped or in the inventory. RNG.

I got it before I upgraded my husk of the pit

I got it with Eidolon Ally sitting unupgraded in my vault. I don't think it matters if you have Husk or Eidolon at all. It's just a rare drop.
