Phalanx shield bash needs to be fixed!
I'm sick of encountering this -blam!-ing bug. I survive initial shield bash but many times am flung into a wall and die from fall/impact damage. Sometimes even getting bashed off the map! I haven't posted about this yet but it definitely needs to be addressed. I just flew through the flayer Roc strike solo all the way to flayers but even with my Helm of Saint 14 and blessings of light plus force barrier I couldn't help but keep getting killed by shield bashes. And there's no point in trying to think out the enemy because they JUST KEEP SPAWNING, and that damn ship needs to be nerfed. Appearing every minute to spawn more enemies and shoot a cannon at you. How the hell is even a maxed out level 32 titan supposed to complete this strike without using a Gajallahorn and heavy ammo synthesis? I challenge any player, or dev at Bungie for that matter, to try soloing it, you'll see what I mean. I could have beaten the strike had it not been for the damn shield bash. I assume it's not supposed to work that way? DeeJ if you read this can you please respond and let me know if it's a bug/glitch or if it's working as intended?

They're like Energy Sword Elites in Halo. If it can one-hit kill at close range, avoid at all costs.

Use a shotgun on the phalanx. They open themselves up for a nice headshot as they're getting ready to charge.

1 ReplyI soloed it as a gunslinger hunter with a hunger of Crota, swordbraker and word of Crota, no ammo synthesis and it was vanguard roc so u should be able to do it as a Titan

1 ReplyEdited by unspoken threats: 4/6/2015 8:52:05 PMI was tryin to do the 9000xp bounty without dying last night (daily on level 26 just to further prevent death) and boom...flung all the way across the map and I'm killed by architects. if it isnt a glitch it should say I was killed by the phalanx. same way that if an enemy shoots me in crucible and I accidentally jump off the map they are credited with the kill. anyway, agreed.

1 ReplyI know how you feel. It happened to me once when I was doing that Strike with Valus on Mars and it was a Nightfall. Just try not to get close enough to them that they can do that.
