I just noticed Destiny is 76 on metacritic....
How did Bungie go down from being a top tier game developer to this....
even the user rating is 6/10...

How much would YOU rate Destiny??
To me this game is a 6/10 mainly due to how addictive it is to play with others in strikes and raids... everything else needs MAJOR improvements and where is that story at?
but i did get my money's worth after 500ish hours

It's funny, going through this thread all I can see is people judging the game based on what it isn't, saying "it lacks this, it doesnt have that, it needs this" apparently this is a crazy idea but I believe games should be judged based on what IS there, I understand people were misled by advertising, hype, whatever before the game was released but you need to get over that and focus on what is there. All the people complaining that there isn't enough content just don't like the type of content this game offers, I played Diablo 3 every day for almost a year, that game had 4 acts, literally 4 levels IN THE ENTIRE GAME, but similar to Destiny the "content" you people want so badly is the replaying, the collecting gear, the hoping to get a weapon you've wanted for months, and while I think Destiny needs a lot more variety in gear to make it successful as this kind of game, I definitely think this is the direction the game wants to go. If you want an rpg game where you play through the whole story once then are done then this just isn't the kind of game you like.

8/10, the game is good and fun to play but the lack of content is crazy, no story line in less yo go online and read grimoir, what kind of game has a story line that's this hard to really follow. Also PvP is lack luster, have fun at times but servers can be very lagging.

7/10 great mechanics and gameplay, but too repetative for a high mark. plus every 3 hours of new gameplay is 20€, price/quantity ratio is very bad. Especially with the locking people out of dailies and weeklies, making not buying expansions not an option.

I don't think the reviewers did the endgame content for the most part. If it was just the story then I'd give it an average score too. But it's not just the story.

i give it a solid 8. story is lacking but its a fking mmo they are all about lore anyway. if you get off the hype train bullshit and enjoy it just as a "video game" you will have a good time with it. plus i fking love crucible.

6 Replies8.9/10 Too many people, critics included, bought into hype and speculation. They let preconceived notions of what this game was, in their minds, going to be, influence their opinion on the final product. While it's not perfect, Destiny is an impressive title with outstanding mechanics. It's only gotten bigger and better since launch. I'm excited to see the evolution of the franchise.

9/10 Why the hell else would we still be playing it 6 months from release?!?! I can understand people giving lower marks, but surely the people still playing and on the forums are the hardcore fans? I will never understand people slating a 6 month old game on the forums. I didn't think far cry 4 was great but I'm sure as hell not still playing or commenting on the forums about how average it is
