I just noticed Destiny is 76 on metacritic....
How did Bungie go down from being a top tier game developer to this....
even the user rating is 6/10...

How much would YOU rate Destiny??
To me this game is a 6/10 mainly due to how addictive it is to play with others in strikes and raids... everything else needs MAJOR improvements and where is that story at?
but i did get my money's worth after 500ish hours

Edited by Velocity51: 3/24/2015 4:28:31 PM(For me) Was a 9 or 8 out of 10 at around beta/launch, by December it was a 6/10 and now it's a 4/10 that I just don't touch anymore... Was extraordinarily fun while the excitement lasted though.

Funny people saying the game is shit but they stole 600 plus hours from you thats more then those games you praise then stop after you beat the missions. Destiny should be a 90 and up because of its repeatability and gameplay

1 ReplySeems low to me. I think most of the problem is most console gamers arent sure how to deal with a game like this. It treads the edges of being a full blown mmorpg. And honestly....give it another year or so and it will be even closer as far as static/raid content goes. Last time I put this much consistent time into one game was on PC in an mmorpg.

1 ReplyPeople who give it a high score based on time spent on it are wrong. You play the same content over and over because of this illusion that if you keep grinding you'll get the weapons you want. I'd give it a 6/10.

1 ReplyIt ain't perfect, but giving it less than an 8 is ridiculous. I mean, who in their right minds would spend 500ish hours on a 6/10 game? Don't kid yourselves. You like this game, not only because its addictive, but because its actually a good game. People are too harsh on this game, just because its not what they expected. The fact is that you have to review what it is, not what it could've been. Its has flawless shooting mechanics, the graphics are out of this world (its so preeeettyyy), and its addictive as hell. Has good variety (not mission wise, but you get 2-12 player PvP modes, you got the 1-3 player story missions, 1-3 player strikes, and raids for a 6 player coop first person shooter experience that has not been featured before on a First Person Shooter. It has RPG elements like leveling up (though its tough) and special abilities and supers. Its a great game that has been dragged through the mud. Maybe it deserved it, but still, doesn't take away from what it really is.

There's 2 ways people view that 1-10 or 1-100 scale. either A.) how good the game is on a scale system Or B.) how much the game is worth spending your money on. Looking at it in the B form a 76 or 7.6 (though it looks like it isn't good) is actually pretty decent. Here's some other games with a high 70's score for reference: Naruto shippuden: ultimate ninja storm 3 (77) The walking dead season 2 episode 5 (79) World of Tanks xbox360 edition (77) also free The way I see it, I want an hour of gameplay per dollar I spend on a game. 60 hours isn't that hard to do. Destiny, however, has gotten me to break 600 hours. I think in a sense of how good the game is it's about a 7/10. However, if you were to ask me what the chances were of you getting your money's worth out of destiny, I'd say 10/10
