What's the hardest boss fight you have encountered?
I still remember fighting Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid 1. He would read all your moves before you did them and was literally impossible to beat. He would also talk to you about the games that you had already played by reading your memory card (this was super trippy). The only way to beat him was to unplug your controller and plug it into port two so he couldn't read you moves anymore. It took me and my buddy days to figure it out... This was before Google too, so you couldn't just look it up.

Krauser, resident evil 4 on ps2. On the professional difficulty. I was trying to get the laser weapon. I died 69 times total between the two fights. Not only is it hard on pro, but I had barely enough ammo/herbs. Finally did it though.

I remember the Ares fight in God of War on God mode was pretty ridiculous. Fighting Ares himself was alright but fighting those versions of yourself (Kratos) was a pain in the ass.

The Fume Knight from Dark souls II. I was only able to beat him at full hollow, completely naked and using a spear after thirty or so tries.

Ever play Runescape? By far one the hardest bosses I have ever fought was the Kalphite King on a day the games severs were being DDOS'd and me and my mates were trying our hardest not to die and if one of us did we had to hold off on our own til they made it back I think we actually managed to get that kill.... Good times

Edited by ThyLordIntrovert: 3/31/2015 6:13:48 AMLost planet 3 had some rediculous boss fights in it like the king crab, it involved grabbing one of its claws while piloting your rig (a utility mech) lifting its arm up then climbing out and shooting at its exposed stomach, then when it breaks free you have to evade its attacks until your rig gets back up after being knocked over

When ffx first came out I hit yunalesca underleveled and with zero customized gear. I killed myself more than she managed to kill me... Potions+zombiefied=fuhked Gah I don't think I've ever been so -blam!-ing angry at a stupid game. I get that she's not actually a hard boss but my scrubbiness made her impossible.

The bloater in the high school on the last of us on grounded mode. When I entered the gym to fight it, my health was less than half full, so I had to start with that every time I died and restarted the fight. I hardly had any ammo either, so it was a constant cycle of sprinting around the gym and getting one punch in on one of the infected that chased me around until it died and dropped ammo, then I would have to use that small amount of ammo it gave me to pick away at the bloater, and keep running and punching the infected to get ammo.

But I had trouble with it. I think I eventually just cheated. Anyone know what one I'm talking about?
