Gjallarhorn Drop Rate
Hey guys!
I have finally received my first Gjallarhorn this week from Crota normal.
Ever since, I have seen Gjallarhorn everywhere. I even finished a Crota hard checkpoint with 5 people having this rocket launcher equipped.
We see the people that are asking for this weapon every week from Xur and from RNG. Even though we say this gun is one of the rarest exotics, I honestly think it is not.
What do you think ? Is Gjallarhorn rare or not ?

2 weeks ago, I got not only the Gjally to drop for me, but also a Husk of the Pit in the same week..lol

Thing is that once you've got an exotic, you see that one drop all the time( I've gotten 3 dragons breaths) but if you don't have the exotic you almost never see it drop. My friend did nightfall and got his 4 gjallarhorn, I got shards. It's always once you got it, you keep on getting it

I got three thunderlords, three gjallarhorns, four icebreakers, four last words, and have had 5+ of everything else (and im not including my xürchases).

Sine Oct. Yet i find nothing. Its true most of my friends have at least 2, but not me. Well since my friends have some things are not bad for me and frankly i feel i don't need one. May be if i plan to solo crota hard then i might wish to have one.

I had one for ages. Then I found 3 more in one week. Just have that spare one sitting in the vault now.

If only you could trade weapons or do some ridiculous quest to get one. I cannot complain as much as others since I have only been playing since December. I would trade 3 icebreakers, 3 suros and 3 plan cs just to have a taste though.....

We'll I got it today and I have 6 days on my Titan 8 on my warlock and just 1 on my hunter and I got it on my hunter 😕

At this point I'm convinced all weapons have the same drop rate, but sometimes you won't get all of them. Like those people who get multiple icebreakers or Plan Cs, many people get multiple gjallerhorn drops. I don't have anything to prove this but it's seems to be that way.

Every exotic is rare, just because you've seen it drop means nothing. I've never seen Suros drop or have never gotten it but someone else may have seen it drop a few times. If you were to look up the number of gjallarhorn owners compared to non owners it would be pretty lopsided. You see a group of competitive players in a raid with gjallarhorns doesn't mean it isn't rare. You go to a race track your gonna see some Ferraris

2 RepliesHad the game since beginning of October. I've never seen a gjallahorn drop for Anybody ever including me. I mean never on any party member. For me it's rare. But bad rng has given me 6 vex mythoclasts.

Well it's not rare at all yesterday my friend got it from the exotic chest then we 3 manned Croat on normal (easy, I've soloed it) and he got it again. And that was only like 20 min later

Only ever had one from nighfall, thank rngesus, we're all on pre determined loot tables , with varying percentage chances of drops per exotic . I got lucky . I hope you do too

1 ReplyIt's so random, I got mine like 50 hours in (random crucible drop, my first exotic!) and I feel almost guilty seeing that people with much more experience and time than me are still struggling to get it.

There is only one person in our current group who does not have it. everyone have gotten it from a raid or nightfall. Most came from raids

It's rare. Quite a few people have it but not as many as you may think.
