Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

Counterbalance, Field Scout, Crowd Control. It's a great AR, it just doesn't get the use from me that it probably should as I like scout rifles too much. I'd love to get a Vanquisher with Focused Fire and Field Scout, but I dislike everything about New Monarchy beyond that gun and got the one I have from the cryptarch.

I just posted a new help thread seconds ago about my V8 glitch. It does NO DAMAGE against fallen ultras level 6 or higher. It's fully upgraded I'm a level 30 hunter. The V8 will work fine in no spawn zones, public events, against hive and vex, but if I'm in the field and see a lvl 6 fallen i have to switch to my secondary or melee. I have 4 legendary primary and 4 legendary secondary all work fine except the vanquisher. V8 is a great auto, but this glitch drives me insane!

1 ReplyI have two of them. Old and new one though I got the vendor versions so the perks aren't as good. Still it's an awesome auto rifle. The pre dlc version is the better one though with higher stability and a more precise sight. That's been my go to primary for crucible. The pre dlc one is good enough that I can hold my own against suros and vex users. I actually own a suros and prefer the v8 over it. Not sure how it will fare though after the upcoming nerf though.

I bought the stock vanquisher but have yet to get one in a package or drop so no field scout. It would be awesome with that perk

I've gotten 4 in reward packages and still no field scout :( ... still has it all day in pvp but field scout would be so nice to have.

I have one with Field Scout and it made my Abyss Defiant obsolete. I was using AD in the crystal room on CE HM and it feels weak. i switched to my V8 and I was consistently getting more kills.

I absolutely loved my Shadow Price, which had very similar stats. I've been leveling New Monarchy for a while in hopes of getting one to drop (because I don't play enough Crucible to have the marks to buy one and don't feel like grinding them).

2 RepliesI would like to get a vanquisher, but don't wanna buy it from new monarchy would rather some better perks, does anyone use the standard one?? Is it decent? I believe it has glass half full which is pretty good by itself

They hit the perfect balance with them, and just had to ruin it. Rest in Peace [i]Shadow Price[/i], you will always have a place in my Vault.

I always keep this gun on reserve. The only thing that would make this gun better would be a larger clip.

Mine isn't quite as good of a roll, but persistence & fitted stock do add a lot of stability. I'd love to have field scout mixed in there, but I'll roll with what I got for now. It's a fun gun to use.
