Fans of the Vanquisher 8
First off, I just want too say I'm a big New Monarchy weapons and shaders fan. I have two of their shaders, and all the weapons except the rocket launcher, and the red hand unfortunately. Still waiting on the ship though, but I have plenty more ranks too burn through. Anyways, too the point. I was curious as to how many people prefer the V8 over other legendary Auto Rifles. I bought the one that the vendor sells, and honestly it wasent too hot.. But last weeks nightfall, I got another Vanquisher, this time with a stability perk, field scout, and third eye. It's pretty sweet! It now has a 42 round magazine, and the stability and radar perks really make a fine finish for this gun. What Perk rolls did you get for your Vanquisher?
Months later, I now have everything except the ship. One day, my friends. One day.

Vanq with field scout is EPIC, otherwise it's just average. I'm still grinding for my 2.0 one as the vendor one doesn't have field scout :(

19 RepliesSorry, but Shadow Price blows Vanquisher away. My SP has maxed reload with two reload perks. What that means, especially with a Titan's Force Barrier reload perk on, there is about 1/10th of a second of a reload animation. Never. Stop. Shooting.

I have a vanquisher with field scout and third eye as well. One of the best autos hands down. Maybe only behind rhe suros and old shadow price with good rolls.

Spray and Play, Stability and Glass half full. The 22 rounds work in my favour.

I got spray and play, perfect balance, and grenadier. really nice because grenadier is a rare perk on primary auto rifles

I used the Vanquisher VIII almost all the time until the DLC was released. The vendor variant at the time was a solid pick (Glass Half Full, Hammer Forged, Feeding Frenzy). It's a shame I dismantled it, though. I didn't think it would be very relevant to this day, but I still see people using "vanilla" content weapons to this day (Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, etc.). I regret breaking it down now.

I got Glass Half Full and Reactive Reload both of which I like just fine, but overall I prefer Abyss Defiant for its "feel" (even ignoring its damage type), kind of SUROS-y.

Got the same on mine but I hate auto rifles. I like hancannons and my red hand is a beast. Used it in control for the 1st time last night and -blam!- a couple of try-hards using The Last Word and Hawkmoon.

V8 is the best legendary auto rifle I've used. It made me regret buying a pair of Silimar's Wrath rifles from Iron Banner and wasting motes of light re-rolling perks to get the perfect rifle. It's also made me steer well clear of other high rof, low impact rifles, they just don't cut it. V8 is accurate, has a punch, and the mag size isn't too bad considering how much punch the rounds have.

I got it in a legendary Engram with third eye and some other perk but that third eye though

I bought the Vendor roll and it is working great even with the 22 mag for PvP. PvE is a bit annoying but as long as you empty the mag the reload is fairly quick.

I have a pre-dlc V8 but right now im saving up my crucible marks to buy one. Unless i get one from a NM package.

I roleld persistence, field scout/fitted stock/hammer forged, and glass half full. think it is the best role you can get for V8 fitted stock would be for PvP and field scout would obviously be for PvE

The final perk is Glass half full so it's even better when emptying the last bullets in the mag in an enemy Edit: Got it from an engram. In with Dead Orbit and I got 2 of their shaders. Both my hunters are rocking them.
