One thing I liked in the Portal was that for the first time Destiny had a difficulty option. Sometimes you don't wanna grind like crazy, you just want to chill playing a strike or an exotic mission in solo without too much effort.
Since power deltas were introduced, for some reason the possibility of being overleveled was taken away. I genuinely don't care if it gives me little to no rewards, but I don't see why we can't choose to play an overleveled activity once we cross a certain power treshold, please give this back to casual players

Edited by whateverman7: 11/13/2025 11:45:31 PMWe've never technically been over leveled in the game/franchise since the beginning. How the game worked in d1 and continues to work: 1. We work up to the level of the content. Whether it's an enemy, mission, etc. 2. Once we reach and/or surpass that level, the game makes the content equal to us. We just feel op cause of the weapons and abilities. It's why you would see people commenting about needing multiple shots for a red bar or complaining about being 1 shot despite being whatever level higher. Bungie has stated this. The reason they started using deltas is cause the community stated that was boring and wanted more challenge. That's why in activities they make sure we are whatever below. Even with that, cause of our abilities and weapons, we easily make up that difference. It takes them spamming negative mods and enemies spamming shots/abilities to make it challenging.
