I feel your pain. Being locked at ultimate makes the game not worth playing. I hate the limited revives and the stupid timers and if you run out of time you lose your revives. For some people playing at a negative delta is hard or just not fun and for those people they game has lost interest. I can run lower level stuff but then my rewards aren't good. Destiny had it right before eof then they decided to tailor the game for the elites and those that brag how easy everything is. They could make it work for everyone by allowing us to choos all modifiers including revives and timers but they stick with the elites. For those who want to troll and say get gud i say get a life this is a video game that's ment to entertain people of all skills. Your so special because your good with a mouse and or controller but no one cares how good you are but yourself. I hope bungie realizes this is not the best way forward. I myself dont want to play content that's ultimate difficulty because it not fun its just punishment for putting in your time in a game you enjoy. In what world do you punish the people that enjoy your game when its clear not many people enjoy it anymore.

The main problem is once you get to max power then you are stuck there unless you delete everything to level down. You can play on lower difficulties but can't get higher rewards. I've stayed at the 500 mark to be able to play gm difficulty as I can get my tier 5 from b+. Only downside is i have to play matchmade on ultimate and i don't want to. Ultimate should have been a choice for people who want to sweat. But GM should have been for the rest who don't. Especially since the grind to start with was so ridiculous. Gm can still be difficult at times (bear in mind I'm an older player who has had a stroke). For the lifespan of destiny there has been a choice for players. Lfg for endgame content but some could be attained through other means. Now its all about making everyone get high power and then pulling your hair out ad content is difficult. Most other games have a difficulty setting, and extreme modes was generally for people who liked to post via achievements.

There's an event on, I too am 550. I only logged on last night, started salt mines & the 1st enemy I see is a guy I can't damage, he's supposed to have drones I need to shoot but there's no drones (apparently another bug) do I just logged off. Watched a few videos & it just doesn't look fun so not sure I'll even try again. Run it over & over, to find a hvt that is almost impossible to kill, & it's timed, & I need to run extinction & 10 other really hard mods. Idk man, what they doing

Same. Doin Renegades for for some last Star Wars memories and I'm planning on bein done. I even started on a new console and did all the campaigns again the last 2 months to catch up. I knew Bungie was making alot of garbage decisions, but I was hoping one last time that maybe they'd turn a corner with a whole new chapter after the Dark Vs. Light saga. Seems to ME that they wanted to phase out Destiny with all it's complicated storytelling to an extraction shooter that's far easier to maintain. It just feels like purposeful sabotage at this point, it's the only thing that even makes sense IMO.

Realize that bungie actually wrote code for the game to be in the state it’s currently in.

Is having fun just getting enjoyment from playing or for you to have fun do you need the best rewards as well? If you simply enjoy the game then you can select a lower difficulty, no champions etc.
