You can do the same ultimate difficulty and spam tier 4 and 5 modifiers as people who are 550, but since they’re 550 they’re gonna get more points and hit the thresholds.
You’re basically rewarding people who’ve sweated power grind an unhealthy amount before this event.

Power doesn't matter. If you can play ultimate, you can get the score.

6 RepliesHave had AGES to be 500+ light. I achieved it months ago and that’s not even by sweating

6 Replieslol. Unbelievable. Doesn’t play the game. Complains about not getting a lofty aesthetic reward reserved for top 10% of players. What a pathetic loser. Seriously.

1 ReplyThe fact is, its an event for the WHOLE fan base not the top 10 percent. They should've been more specific. Would've saved ppl the hassle to not even playing thinking they had a chance at getting the ornament. But Bungie is know to slap the top players in the face anyways so dont be surprised to see that helmet in the store for money after the event. Money is always the priority for bungie.

Edited by Kirka soi ja viini virtaa: 11/12/2025 7:57:54 PMYea I just did the Coil with a clanmate who's 550 and they got 25% more points than me at 530 power. If it was just me I wouldn't even bother with the event. The helmet ornament looks ridiculous and the emblem is nothing to write home about either. Just gonna grind it for the New Malpais ornament.. Though even that is not that great.

13 RepliesThere is literally nothing in rewards that is game changing, so you want to punish those who actually do play and give them a little reward for that and give everyone a participation trophy? Com on, is it that desperate. Omg they want to give a stupid emblem or dumb cosmetic I'll never use to a dedicated player sniff sniff snarf snarf.

FOMO-driven disrespectful to the larger community designed to reward a shrinking elite a symptom of deeper financial and population problems a signal of desperation rather than strength It won’t fix anything. It won’t bring players back. It won’t repair the trust Bungie lost. It’s a prestige gimmick aimed at masking the fact that the game’s foundation is cracking.

I wouldn't even call this an event. It's more like something extra for the few people who hit 550. I already had zero expectations after ash and iron being marketed as "A major update", but this is literally just weapons from a couple of the past bad events and some of the most hated activities. Adding a leaderboard for 4 activities 10 years into a game is too little too late like every other halfazzed innovation they made this year.

1 ReplyWell isn't that the point..lol . If you're casual and don't want to play . You don't get rewarded. I do agree the grind to 450 then 550 was only boring and frustrating . The 450 grind I wanted to just throw up in my mouth. 550 wasn't bad, there just not a lot of activities to play that reward you. I kind of wish they would raise the level in renegades. Its pointless to play for nothing .. raise it 25,50.

4 RepliesI dont understand how Im suppose to increase my score in proving ground for example? Its matchmade and the score forecast is already set. I can run in 10 times the score will be the same. Salt mines im at 1.7 mil. Its solo so i can keep adjusting the mods to see how far i can go without insta dying. But the match made stuff has me scratching my head. Also im not running Heliostat with matchmaking. No way so i guess the cool Helmet is off the table.

1 ReplyEdited by RADROB0U812: 11/12/2025 7:15:37 PMI agree im 550 but I’ve been playing another character for almost a month that I have at 480 for friends and family when playing when they come over on the other console. Today I switched and ran the first arms event PVP and got top 1% the only thing I’ve done on my character. I’m terrible at PVP. I could only get top 30% on 480 character and I did better on the two runs. I looked at salt mines, and I’ll get the top score even though I haven’t done it yet but I know it’ll be easy on my 550 character. Same exact set up mods on 480 character and I could only get top 30% salt mines. It’s gotta be frustrating and not fun for people with lower power levels. Just finished salt mines and now I’m at 100 points and I’ve only did one PVP and one salt mines nothing else. So I guess grind and play through the whole event if you’re not high enough power or be 550 and be done with the whole thing in a day unless you’re trying to get event level 40. It seems to cater to higher power, but it’s not gonna make higher power players play longer. That’s for sure.
