I'm not talking about the internal cooldown, it seems like sometimes I'll kill an enemy with my Powered Melee and not get the Grenade buff.
I've got 100+ Melee and 100+ Grenade, so it's not like it's slow regeneration or anything.
The problem seems marginally worse with Incinerator Snap than Celestial Fire, but that could just be my perception.
Anyone else notice the problem?

Edited by MNN8TV: 11/11/2025 3:09:52 AMIt has something to do with the complex nature of the melees consisting of 3 individual damage sources. Melee damage, scorch, and ignition. The only time I know for sure it fails is when the melee scorch gets the final damage instance. But I do remember it rarely not working for no noticeable reason when I used it a while back. Celestial fire is more consistent as well for some reason.

Unfortunately since sunbracers came out when warlocks only had celestial fire it only works properly with them since an ignition cancles out the melee kill mechanism

Incinerator snap does more damage but unfortunately in my experience ive found that it doesnt proc as consistent as Celestial fire does

I kind of wish Bungie built upon “incinerator snap ignition retention” and made the solar nades a lot more violent for not getting to be successfully enhanced the first time becoming frustrated mega fireballs that start just scorching more effectively and being more ballistic than normal😂. Imagine warlock magic being sentient and just being angry for being failed or missed or gimped being an integral part of certain exotics and abilities🤣

Yeah, I’ve seen that happen occasionally.
