The average player is forgotten. Been the same way since Vanilla Destiny and the so called studio "leaders" are right back at it again. Letting professional gamers that monetize the game TO TEDIUM to steer what they see as the official opinion of Destiny surfdom. There's literally nothing left to say at this point. There's only so much positive spin I can give before it becomes a pointless endeavor. I just wanted everyone to know that despite all the time you spend in these forums to help the game, they give their attention to the same people with the same results every single time.
Giving time in these forums while simultaneously being the first ones snubbed and ignored persistantly has worn me down. The fact that they've allowed "influencers" and Youtubers to rule the opinions of us second class commoners has hit it's breaking point. I bought Renegades and will attempt to play out my Star Wars fix, but beyond that I have no plans whatsoever. They can afford to fly these people in but sacrifice staff members to save their bottom line. To view corporate Bungie as anything but a heart less entity focused solely on the bottom line is just folly at this point. Just a horse with blinders on going in a straight line.
I just wanted everyone to know what the TWID will never tell you, because you deserve to know.

1 ReplyYou need to listen to Sweatcicle talk about the few summits he's gone to. He said that any actual feedback given was just ignored. He even mentioned once that Gladd straight up told Bungie to make D3. But that's not Bungie's agenda with these summits. Their agenda is to show off whatever doomed plans they have for Destiny, and to have the Streamers eat it up like a bunch of yesmen.
-
Have you not been paying attention? The biggest names that they flew out ARE ACTIVELY TALKING -blam!- about the game. They are ACTIVELY SAYING IT'S IN A BAD SPOT. Get your head out of the dirt, because there's proof of this. Bungie isn't making the game for content creators. Stop giving them an easy, but false out. Bungie is ruining their game on their own and without input. Stop blaming everyone else and put the blame where it belongs: On you if you're paying and playing AND on Bungie for sticking to what doesn't work.
-
At this point, Bungie isn't even listening to content creatures any more. They're forging ahead with their own horrible ChatGPT-spawned ideas. Like others have pointed out in this thread, this event follows the preview video factory template. They invited all those people over there, let them record some game play, scan it real hard for negative impressions and send them back home to await the embargo date. And mark my words, the vast majority of the video content that will be released from this will be to the tune of "well Star Wars is really cool, this weapon is cool, this exotic piece is cool and so on," but no real hints about the proper state of the game. Oh, and zero hints about the future. Because there is no future.
-
Maybe it's cope, but this feels like an emergency meet-up that may result in actual communication about the future of Destiny past Renegades. This reminds me of the summit that was held prior to Forsaken given the similar morale. Again, likely cope on my end, I just have this feeling that I can't shake that enough people who are calling the shots know that Marathon is not going to save the company.
-
No offense, I wouldn’t want to talk to a bunch of forum dorks and edgelords either. I would want to have a conversation with a random sampling of people that play the game at different levels. You literally have Guardian Ranks for that sampling.

4 RepliesEdited by xbroggiex: 11/10/2025 2:36:53 AMI guarantee you right now they are being shut down on any feedback they try to give and are only there for marketing material purposes. The only thing streamers really got catered towards for, were raids. Bungie made raids more complex and harder to try to make the raid races a bigger and bigger spectacle it was just coincidence that it matched the more popular content creator's opinion of wanting harder raids. Bungie is almost dead silent and when they are communicating its barely anything substantial. There is only 2 conclusions to be made with that... either they got their heads down working hard on changes they don't know when they will specifically release(HA!) or the more likely case is that they are all updating their resumes and preparing for the game and studio to close down post Renegades.
-
Just to schmooze content creators and then not listen to 99% of what they say, and then take the 1% of stuff they do listen to and then turn it up to 1000x!
-
I hear you but honestly today it’s standard industry practice. Even in other industries you have similar symbiotic relationships between companies and streamers. It’s not always all bad, I don’t really know how much weight Bungie actually gives to their opinions vs using them as cheap targeted marketing.
-
It’s simply marketing, even if they gave them feedback it’s too late to do anything about it. This is just to get publicity and try to build up hype for the next expansion. They picked the ppl they picked for a reason, most of them get over excited about little things and hype the game up for a week or so before they start to pick it apart again.

My concern is not for Renegades; as many other commenters have said, it's too close to release day, everything major is locked in and the CCs are being sent out for marketing reasons. What I am afraid of is that with Bungie looking pretty directionless right now (and the MIA roadmap is not helping), they're asking those CCs what direction the game should go, with a fat NDA (which, again, we know Bungie are not afraid of requiring), and I fear what those CCs might say. Datto's hilarious crashout was not over the game, but over the community hating the state of the game whilst he was happy with it, and making that fact known (although some people did go too far, his crashout was way bigger than just 'the weirdos are being weird', because Milo gave a perfect example of that specific crash-out). Cross famously released that "I think this grind is good" video 2 weeks into EoF; I don't know if he's had the humility to delist it, but even if he did, he should never be allowed to disown that particular controversy. As long as Bungie is only getting marketing from the CCs, it's fine (poor taste maybe, given the state of the global economy right now, as well as how tight budgets must be at BHQ); if they're also canvasing opinions, the game is probably in even more trouble.....

Let them streamers know you dont believe a word they say and dont give them views or likes or anything. They chose it themselves.

Edited by NotCreative123: 11/10/2025 5:25:12 PMDestiny MUST make the game more accessible to new and returning players, or it will fail. Streamers (specific ones) helped create the problem, but it was ultimately Bungie's decision to implement their 💩 ideas. Streamersahave much different goals and needs than regular players, and they are a poor substitute to mass polling or random surveys.
-
What’s funny to me about catering to the streamers is that I haven’t watched any streamer, religiously ever since they came out, here and there for some entertainment, but these pathetic hour long events…sigh* 🤦♂️ they’re not that interesting, intriguing, and most of all cool. Even now it seems the only way you can get rare emblems is by watching streamers….lol it’s never been worth it to me, lame and mundane is putting it lightly.
-
It's not a summit, it's to get free, or rather cheap, advertising.
-
6 RepliesIrony is, streamers asked for everything killing the game right now. So let's invite them back again for more feedback lol Total joke.
-
Paying to fly in some wealthy people so they can all get some freebies, get a sneak peek at Renegades and then give their opinion on the current Marathon build.
-
I bought it too, but I think I’m just going to take the loss on Renegades. Bungie has been acting like it’s 5 to midnight on their doomsday clock for Destiny when it’s really been like a quarter past for almost a year, and everyone can see it.
-
So i decided to check out frostbolts stream yday if he shared anything about that summit. He sounded defeated, its been a long time since i saw someone so little hyped over next dlc,he even said that they dont even know where it is going after that. So maybe it is the end for destiny as we know it.
-
Hardly a "secret" if a random player is posting about it.
-
Renegades is only one month away. It’s too late to implement feedback. They are only there for marketing purposes.

1 ReplyCan't wait to see the new red subclass teased and space battles because Renegades is star wars inspired.
