I reinstalled Destiny 2 earlier this year, in August i think, reached soft cap and just noped out of the power grind. Screw that, it's an old song that i got tired from singing over and over again. It all feels just so shallow and pointless. I don't think i'll come back for Renegades either.

It's not whining, dude. It's a logical and overdue reaction. Bungie can't even deliver a roadmap. Renegades might be on time, but the bugs that will come with it will be "Fixed" and Bungie will call the fixes content. I get that you liked the game, and so do many people, but after getting burned for too long, lots of people have decided to move on.

I hate that they clog up the forums with whinging too... but at this point I'm happy they've quit playing. I paid actual money for the game & I'm never gonna quit something I bought. I might choose not to buy the next expansion, but for now I plan to get my money's worth. Less ppl in the game means its easier for us to get top 10% of the new event. I'll smile at my stupid flaming helmet, feeling satisfied that my money's not going to waste.

If someone hasn't played in a hot minute and still comments on the game, it's because they want the game to be good again so that they can play again. I'm one of them. I last played August 23rd. I quit and uninstalled because there wasn't enough new to do, I didn't like the portal replacing literally everything else, I didn't like how 80% or more of the game was pointless now, I didn't like how(at the time) that leveling was THE chase and not for loot, and a few more reasons. And as things stand, there's been no meaningful change. Full raids and dungeons haven't been put into the portal and even when they added sections of dungeons IT DOESN'T DROP DUNGEON REWARDS??? The director was THE door to destiny that incentivized looking at and appreciating the game. Now it's just menu simulator with the portal. The DLC was not worth the sales price of like 36$ that I paid for. A good story that was short and an enjoyable new character. That's all I got. Outside of that, the new playable content is limited to nostalgia bait with Plague(less) Lands and old seasonal activities. Some gamemodes were fundamentally changed. At the time of my last play you quite literally couldn't search for people to play base level Onslaught for some reason, so you couldn't complete it AND turn your brain off to a degree. We have fewer loot pools overall now due to portal activities only pulling from portal loot pools. Pair this with bug they let stand that trivialize things for too long and launching EVERY update/DLC with more bugs than prior to the layoffs? Why would I play current destiny when the loot isn't there, the activities are almost entirely old stuff, additions they put in are half-baked, and every change they make breaks 14 other things? I achieve 2 things by continuing to talk about the game: I voice similar and shared-with-others complaints that still haven't been changed AND I show that I'm willing to return and pay if these things were to change. It's on Bungie to make these changes, and by no means will I stay quiet. They've shown that they can listen. It just seems that they currently refuse to listen and make the changes necessary.

I think you are missing the point, a lot of those people dont play the game since july because the levelling system changed than and dont want to interact with it. The system hasnt changed, they only give more drops so the system is more rewarding but doesnt change the fact that the system still sucks. I liked Lama his purposeful how to change it for the better personally. Probably not perfect but atleast more inviting to play again.

I don’t play… as a d1 alpha vet the reveal for eof told me everything that was coming…. Upon release I was correct… Won’t play again till they reduce repetitive grind… add meaningful content, make us feel powerful again … space magic needs to be embraced

The profiles on here are not always accurate. My own account used to read that I hadn’t played in over a year. (I think it’s changed now, not sure and don’t care) When in fact I had been playing off and on all along. I’ve never went more than a few months without playing, that’s usually because newer games have my attention. But I always come back at some point

IMHO, if one has purchased any season of the game, from D1 onwards, as a paying customer, they have as much right as anyone to voice their opinions on these forums, whether they are an active or lapsed player. Anyone who is a F2P player - should not be able to post, just enjoy a ‘read only’ access. This might already be the case, though I don’t actually know?! If it is - das gut! If not - then it should be! That is all. Ease Springs! 🤫

It was a great game and I played more than most. I am done, Bungie went cheap with management and developers. The game could be great but not with the people that are currently supporting it. Good on Bungie in swindling Sony out of 3.5 billion they ripped them off.

Nope the portal killed any fun to be had with this game. At first it was a cool concept but it being the main way to play the game made Destiny 2 so boring to play. Tyson Green was a mistake.

They have not changed anything really since the EoF revamp. I personally think it’s shite. This plaguelands return was piss poor. They knew what they were doing when they hyped it up (vaguely).

Yeah I quit months ago and have absolutely zero intention of buying renegades. I’m still here in these forums though 🤷‍♂️
