Save FotL #22 Haunted Altars is Fun but Feels Half Complete

Anyone else get this impression? Now that it's had time to settle and be inspected, I've noticed it only feels halfway completed. The enemy waves are always the exact same, making repeat runs feel stale. There's no special lighting. In fact, there seems to be a 75% chance it'll take place in broad daylight! Who thought a spooky Halloween event would be fine in bright daylight? Even if it rolls the skybox without the sun, it's still pretty well lit. I feel bad for the developer who had to spend time putting all those decorations up. They did such a good job, but without the proper lighting, they just don't have much impact. There's no new music. For some reason, the Dread wave uses a Savathun song???? There's not even any unique dialogue. It also feels highly untested. Aside from all the bugs, the first wave has almost no enemy density, and the Dread are overtuned to the point it's just not very fun with them. Aside from all this, the activity feels wonderful as a foundation. I do think they got the mechanics right, and I'm thankful for that. I just hope they finish the activity. I don't expect any major changes this year, but they'll have plenty of time to work on it by next time it rolls around. I wonder if there is anything they CAN do before it ends this year.
