Literally anywhere people are talking about this game?!?
I mean if I were any sort of management with that much negative and specific feedback I might consider publicly addressing it somehow
That's just my 2 cents

4 RepliesI suspect that part of the problem is that Bungie has become so inured to player feedback over the years, given that the signal to noise ratio was never very high – there's always someone unhappy about the state of the game and vocal (or even aggressive) about it – so they learned to filter a lot of it out. Only now the problem is that the overwhelming player sentiment is negative and they might be struggling to recognise that. I think another part of the problem is that they've become too comfortable with feeding players scraps, because it's worked for so long. Not that any of this would be an excuse if true, obviously, but even so, the declining player counts should be a hint that something's not right.

1 ReplyNo.139 on Steam Charts, barely 8,000 playing. Never seen it that low. Games toast.
-
Bungie management has their eyes shut, fingers in their ears and is yelling “LALALALALALALALALALA” hoping marathon makes all their problems go away.
-
Sorry to focused on free to play focus monetization and gay storylines. Osiris and Saint 14 gay, Mara is bi, devrim is gay, The conductor is gay, Hawthorne is bi, Anna bray gay, Eriana is gay, Hawthorne is bi, Eramis is gay, Nimbus is basically trans, micha 10 is trans. Why is this everything in my looter shooter. I just need a great villain to hate

They said they were listening, not seeing.

3 Replies"we don't care" Bungie
-
6 RepliesOf course! And normally, someone in this situation would go into damage control, but Bungie does nothing. Which shows what Destiny 2 is worth to them. They prioritized Marathon and Destiny: Rising. Marathon "must be" a success, and Destiny: Rising—NetEase must be consulted. I doubt that it (Marathon) will. Because of Bungie's reputation and the ongoing negative they create. They could turn the tide by changing Destiny 2 for the better—which would lay the groundwork—for a positive reception of Marathon, which they really need. But obviously, no one at Bungie thinks (or can?) that far. The only thing they do is power out more items for Eververse.

4 RepliesEdited by Meevime: 10/3/2025 9:35:57 AMCongratulations, Bungie! You've done it! You are no longer in the Steam Top 100 Chart of 'Most played' games. Not in 'by current players' nor "by daily players'.
-
I have little sympathy for the predicament Bungie finds themselves in. A case of you reap what you sow. Suck it up Bungo!
-
1 ReplyBungie doesn't care about destiny 2 ,they only care about failathon, maraflop, oh I mean marathon.
-
Bungie: ummmmm, no just another Eververse update.
-
Honestly, to any of those, no. Especially not the forums, the only people that still exist here in terms of employees is the forum moderators and the less said about them, the better. The only way for dumgie to listen is to stop playing, and that includes any new events and any new releases.
-
Bungie can probably see, it doesn't mean they will listen though, Bungie saw how good Forsaken was but they still put it in the trash heap at the end of the day.
-
They will, just before renegades when they need the whales to login.
-
It was disheartening that they totally ignored the feedback. They aren't even pretending to try anymore.
-
4 RepliesDon’t worry Bungie will somehow be nominated for “Best community support” again 💀
-
Of course Kappa
-
Let me guess; they responded on Twitter but didn't have enough common sense to post anything on their own website despite knowing full well not everyone checks Twitter for their Destiny news?

3 RepliesI am sure they are seeing it but they are just hiding in their cave with their eyes closed and fingers in their ear. They have done nothing to improve or help the state of the game, reduced modifiers or bump rewards up by double if not more. They have shown they can add things on a weekly basis but they can't seem to use their brains to say hey lets drop the difficulty/modifiers and max out rewards so players stay or come back. We should be hitting a power level like 450 or 500 fairly easily and then be grinding for our 5 tier gear, at this stage I am thinking by the time Renegades comes around I will have very little and that just makes me think why do I bother playing. Bungie bring back the GRIND we have always loved the GEAR. We used to play for days to get that god roll, it is why you have players complaining about vault space.
-
oh they do see it,they simply dont care before AFTER Sloppython is released.
-
Yeah, they see it. they see a bunch of people who quit in Lightfall complaining about Edge of fate, and burying posts of people that actually play the game. They see it alright.
-
6 RepliesEdited by starcrest: 10/2/2025 6:53:26 PMI just checked the steam charts and D2 is no longer in the top 100. 🤷 Edit: Currently in position 112.
-
4 RepliesThey address it in the TWID.
-
We hear you!
-
2 RepliesWould you have preferred they say ”we hear you” only to be disappointed a week later when they could not pack months worth of work into a week update? I’m glad they said nothing, because there is nothing to say. There’s a ton a things to do though, and as long as it does not materialize in game there’s nothing they can say to change people mind.
