So are Cloudstriders descendant's of Rasputin's Seraphs?
I'm no lore expert, but Rasputin says he gave advanced tech and weapons to humans he trusted and called them Seraph. Seraphs are angels in human mythology. Angels fly among the clouds, ergo Cloudstriders.
It wouldn't surprise me if we find a backup copy of Rasputin running Neomuna. The whole city, Cloudstriders, et al coulda been a contingency plan our mad Russian set up and wiped from his memory to keep it safe.
Anyways, jut some ramblings from a fellow madman.

Not directly. Likely the AI just copied Rasputins idea of them and applied it to its own people.

3 RepliesI don't think that specifically Rasputin appointed Exos as Seraph agents. The 1st generation of Neomunian humans were raised by Exos on the ECHO-1 ship. You bring up a really nice speculation, but I think almost all evidence points to Rasputin not being tied to actual creation of Neomuna but rather Soteria is the one. The only reason Rasputin has knowledge of Neomuna is his ties with Soteria (they communicated at different points). I can definitely see how you made the connection though. Even with all his subminds tied to different planets of our Solar system there is still only one Rasputin. I think Bungie made that retcon and point clear that's how they want it to be. Still will be interesting to see.

The ship that reached Neptune was stocked with human fetuses and exo frames to raise them. Given that we all know how Clovis Bray is the odds of them being genetically enhanced is essentially 100%. So I'd place my bet on the people of neomuna continued to enhance themselves both genetically and perhaps mechanically to the point of eventually becoming what we'll know as cloudstriders

I mean, the location of Neomuna is what Xivu Arath has been trying to claim parts of Rasputin for all season IIRC, so yeah, I’d imagine so since Rasputin is the only one who knows their location apparently.
