New raid boss is a Vex Disciple of the Witness.
"Ferried from an unknown time and place, a haunting presence has been detected. We must now confront the ancient threat growing at our doorstep"
Either the Witness is using the Vex on Neomuna to bring back one of his Disciples or the Disciple is a Vex from the Sol Divisive.

Why do you guys think its gojng to be a vex or hive or cabal ?, What if the new raid has another race like rhulk as the enemy ?

You could use the spire lore to help this..? Like we stopped the connection between the sol divisive and some strange mind out there Now there may be a new vex enemy Correlation much

1 ReplyEither a vex disciple or a hive disciple but I’d really prefer it be a vex boss since we haven’t had one in awhile. (Not counting vog)

Saw some people saying it might be an Aphelion , a Awoken monster that attacks and destroys whole Awoken ships. My reasons for thinking this: •We don’t know where or when they come from •They are in Awoken Mythology , which makes them ancient creatures •Mara has been showing more activity this season , and I remember once I saw a cutscene with her (think it was the cutscene for the start of the Parasite quest) , she cut off abruptly , and the weird flowing energy in her face turned a tint darker than usual , meaning she felt Darkness •They have always been a threat to the Awoken , while they are unseen , they can be classified as ancient threats. Still , this is all speculation -

1 ReplyIf it’s a vex boss, then that would’ve been a huge missed opportunity to bring in something new that would have a huge yet interesting part in the story.

1 ReplyHear me out, the last city falls and the raid takes place in the remains of the last city. The raid bosses are corrupted Mithrax and corrupted Osiris after they perform a dark ritual while under Nezarecs control, to corrupt the traveler.

Vex are like hive minds, forming one into a disciple is, to my mind, probably not worth the effort. Make them into followers sure, but I doubt you can go any further with them.
